You should do more what you eat in a day as a teacher, like what you pack for lunch and what you eat for breakfast and what not! Also would love more deets on your work outs! You're crushing it!

Okay, so, teachers in northern California dress as if they're headed to a nice restaurant for a friend's luncheon when they do classroom setup day 1. Got it. LOL Your cleaning crew is great. Everything seems to be mostly as you left it. In my school, no matter how well you put things up, the summer cleaning crew moves things off counters and stacks everything as in a Tetris game. They often wait until the week before school starts to wax floors, teachers are racing the clock to get set up. We also get to play WHO does THIS belong to as random stuff appears from nowhere. EDventure is the perfect name for teaching. 🙂 Love the new layout!

Year 12 of teaching 5th grade. I still do pods. Great for collaboration. And well, we are elementary, so I dont mind it feeling primary.

I also like grouped desks. After trying many different setups over the years, I personally like pairing by 2’s and a group of 3, if needed, depending on class numbers. You can divide the paired groups into zones for class points. Also if wanting to group beyond pairs, students can collaborate with the next pair in their zone. It also creates more movement space for both students and the teacher. Just thought I’d share in case helpful at all ❤

It looks great. I love your sunny yellow table tops. What if you turn the EShape opposite directions of each other in stead of the Es facing each other towards the center? Love the ikea thing!

The rows / pod mix is how I did my classroom this year and I loved it. I have groups for children who could support each other, rows for my competitive kids who just don’t help anyone and a group of those I worked with.
