Majestic Princess wasn't our favorite ship — and we're not going to pretend otherwise. But two spots on board saved the whole thing for us (one you won't find on ANY other Princess ship), and the British Isles ports? They delivered every single time. Here's our honest review.

I was on the Majestic on a couple cruises after yours. One of the things I was looking forward to was the Hollywood Conservatory. To my surprise the conservatory was closed until the last day of my cruise. Park West had reserved this area for about 50 VIPs. I was told they paid for this months in advance. I told them that 3000+ passengers also paid for access and was denied. Many others on ship were also upset about the situation. This was my 51st and last Princess cruise due to this and many other problems I encountered on the cruise. One of which was O’Malleys. This was my favorite spot on the Sun Princess but I could never get into it in my 12 day cruise. People were reserving seats for hours and Princess would do nothing about this. We are of a different option on Sabatini’s. I had two of my best meals there on this ship, with Rudi’s being a close second.

We were on this cruise in late April/early May 2026 and we had a great time! We did the TransAtlantic coming over from Ft Lauderdale too! The ship is nice, but had few quirks we didn't like at all. Crown Grill was amazing! Italian restaurant was okay and Rudi's was deccent. The buffet was average at best... main dining rooms were terrible with service and food temps!

I have been on Majestic Princess at least 3 times she was based in Sydney for a few seasons built for the Chinese market but transferred when ships were able to sail again in Australia. They had to change the duel signage. We are Elite with Princess so have travelled with them over many years most people look at the ports. Sorry you were disappointed.

Thanks for the detailed and helpful review - I've been considering for Aug./Sept. 2027, specifically for the UK/Ireland itinerary, though some of your disappointments about the ship are just the kind of things that would indeed bother me, and I'll be solo (so a lifeless ship doesn't really appeal...). Certainly I'd be at O'Malley's, which looked great, but not every night, surely?... I'll look again at the NCL options as I decide. Cheers.

You didn't like the tender-based ports. It doesn't make sense to blame the ship -- that's the result of the itinerary. I did a Mediterranean 10-night on the Majestic with NO tender ports.

Desserts are no longer included with premier plus. If you booked it a while back you will still get them but new bookings you have try pay. 😢

I am thinking that cruising is just not for you. Tendering is part of it. If you looked at the itinerary and done more research you would have found that out. If you want more cabin room, book a suite. Of course is chilly in the UK on a cruiseship, its not the Caribbean. Kids on a UK cruise. Not likely, of course its going to be quiet. Want action, go on Royal or Carnival. Musicians have contracts, they are given a specific amount of time to play. Again, if you had researched the ship you would have known where everything was. You could have toured the whole ship when you got on board or looked at the map of the ship. I only book an inside cabin. I will know every inch of a ship before I ever get on board. I would hate to find a great place after spending 7 days on board. Too many ports for you then look for cruise with less. I have been on 15 Princess ships and sailing again in August 2027

I am broke on the majestic in august at first I booked a standard balcony then I realized there was no seating so switched to a deluxe balcony then later for very little rebooked a mini suite. I don't think I would have been happy at all in the standard balcony we tend to spend a lot of time in our cabin and this is going to be a long cruise. have never cruised on princess before and the other cruise lines standard balconies always have a couch so I am glad I dug deeper. thanks for you post

You chose the itinerary with a lot of tender ports, in cold weather, of course you not like your cruise very much

Thanks for the honest review. We are booked on the Majestic for Norway in March next year. We chose it for the itinerary, not the ship. Kind Ears was on the Star's transatlantic last year, and we loved them. Went to O'Malley's almost every night. Spank Mint for the win. Do I see a fellow Outlander fan?

Yea, if you don't like tender ports you have to analyze the itinerary better. Tendering is usually a necessary evil.
I've been on the Majestic twice. The last time in April. I thought the buffet was great especially the fish and chips. I enjoyed the enrichment lectures on sea days. We had a difficult time getting into O'Malleys it was always crowded. I think it's difficult to give a good "ship" (vs. cruise) review if the itinerary is port intensive. I've definitely been on worse ships though.

You didn't really like the ship much because you didn't do your research on it beforehand. Rookie mistake. If you want "life" then go to a ship with dogem cars and lots of kids running around. Not for me. Princess targets quality. The majestic is a brilliant ship with something for everyone. We find the food offerings really good. You don't need a speciality rest't. The dining rooms are fine. Whilst there is a menu, we have found that they will adjust things if you ask. Anyway, personal choice.

Just got off the same cruise, ports were excellent, did not really like ship , the service was lacking, boring ship, on sea day you could not find a seat anywhere, the photographers drove me nuts, only celebrity for me from now on.
