Vince did it because Starcade in 85 was held in 2 locations so he had to top that by having 3 locations!  What a carny!

"I can't imagine Lord Alfred Hayes is toilet rigorous..."
Quote of the day!

As an old man, the largest pop for me was the Where's the Beef lady. She was beloved during this time when you couldn't watch any show without commercials. Susan St. James was there because I believe she was married to Dick Embersol, who was Vince's big partner in the production values of WWF during the time and he was instrumental in making WWF look so much better than any wrestling product

George "The Animal" Steele also played the role of wrestler turned "actor" Tor Johnson in the movie, "Ed Wood."

George Steele was apparently a very credible heel for years before they turned him into a comedy act.

The NWA did a Starrcade from 2 locations in 85' and it looks like Vince wanted to one up the NWA

This channel deserves way more subs. Give it time. You'll be as big as OSW in no time.

The Where’s The Beef Lady was ‘UGE at the time! I was about 6 when this Mania happened, and yeah, it was kinda cool seeing her there! 😂

You all create some of the best wrestling content today.  I don't even watch wrestling and haven't since probably 2003.  The way you two humorously bounce back and forth at the expense of the rediculousness of 80s-90s wrestling is so entertaining.  You have in me a non-wrestling fan who is a fan of your work!  I hope you continue to produce this type of content.  Best wishes to you and yours.

This is making me want to do yet another full listen through of everything 😂

Susan St. James was married to Dick Ebersol who was then working with Vince on SNME.

I was born in 2005 I instantly recognized the where’s the beef lady 😂 4:11

George “The Animal” Steele also played the wrestler Tor Johnson in Ed Wood. He’s got some of the best lines in the movie, Do my toes!

One of the early Starrcades was held in several different locations, so it may also have been a case of "if the NWA can do it, we can do it"

4:39 So from this clip we know that Vince was using juice as far back as 1986.

Susan Saint James is one of the best Celebrity guests they ever had. She got right into the craziness especially durring the George Steele/Randy Savage match.

Can't wait for Wrestlemania 6 now, that episode was hilarious. 🤣

The where’s the beef lady really needed no introduction in 1985!

When I was a kid, I couldn't figure out if Lord Alfred Hayes was gay... Or just British.

Guys... everyone knew who Clara Peller was from the commercial.  But, yes, Susan St. James and Robert Conrad were 968 and 969 on the list of available celebrities.
