Thanks, HW. This has been troubling me for a while how to get a humbucker closer to a single-coil tone without buying a million new guitars.

That PRS headstock looks awesome

applied this EQ to your JTM-45, (w/light comp), sounds awesome 👍

Similar what the overlooked EHX Knockout Attack Equalizer pedal does.

It seriously is like a tele with a little extra sauce, like you got a good one that gives that little extra sweetness

Great stuff, Ive been getting into eq’s lately and this is right up my alley.

Gonna try that on my Les Paul been looking Into this! That tokai is killer!!

Nice tricks. Makes me think of how nice it would be to own a Chase Bliss MKII and have all kinds of tonal flavors available via presets created in a somewhat more visceral way.

Awesome, similar like TCI pickups and 24-08 switchings on PRS core models, but you can have it on any humbucker guitars

Nice.  Great option for those noisy Rooms where singles are just too buzzy. Only possible issue is going into a vintage style fuzz where input impedance is part of the tone.

Nice hack bro. Most of my guitars are Strats but I’ve done something of the opposite using an EQ pedal as a boost. We always gotta tweak and experiment to find sweet spots in the tones. Niiiicccee

Amazing 😊

I never relaized till i picked up a ibanez yesterday w 5 way pickup selector between two hums with one single in the middle. I went to play raggae type of meoldy and switched to the single only coil, AMAZING DIFFRENCE. i now know  why peope like single coils. However I'm a humbucker balls to wall M F'er but some things its to much to control or try to mute if you don't have too. There a right tooll for evey job sometimes you have to find it

Pretty cool. Kind of reminds me of what Dan and Mick refer to as an underdrive (where you lower the gain on the amp with a pedal).

This seems especially useful on guitars without a coil split. My Epiphone 339 Pro has a really good coil split on it and it almost becomes Strat-y on the bridge. Super cool.

Keep these vids coming. I love it.

You can also use EQ match to copy the sound of a specific pickup. From this you make an IR in your DAW and load it in the first position, e.g. in Helix.

take the screw poles out of the humbucker jimmy page style 💯 single coil tone with hum canceling :) i suggest turning both pickups around so that the empty screw holes are in the center this is how i run my les pauls :)

Wish PRS would use that style headstock more. Wish PRS did a lot of things.

I've got a little challenge!

(I've tried myself and haven't succeed)

I have an epiphone les paul custom, it is stock and i want the pickups to sound like active pickups (like emg 81 or something like that)

You think that is possible?

Would love to see someone succeeding at that 😅

Mid is 777 there is probably some biblical meaning to that.

What pickups are in that PRS?
