Thank you all, honestly. This is one guy here, building WhyNot and answering every one of you, and I am reading everything. Update: the crash some of you hit, WhyNot closing the moment it opens, is fixed. Apple approved 1.9.3 overnight, so update from the App Store and it is gone. And if an app you want is not in the drawer, the picker has an “ask for it” button at the top. That is exactly how the list has grown to around 375. Keep it coming 🫶

While watching this video, I kept thinking, “Damn … I barely use my iPhone.” 😂

9.99euros per premium widget??

@celestin_me 1 day ago

One-time purchase per widget, but don't go overboard. Something like $1.99 for smaller ones and $2.99 for larger or more complicated ones

So got your app, paid for the "Pro" Version and now I need to pay more to unlock other widgets in the app... talking about being greedy and scammy I have no problem paying an upfront cost to support you but then to start charging 10 GBP per widget no man sorry that's just dirty man. Add on top of it I can't add all my apps to these folders most of the apps I use aren't even on the supported list. I really feel like I just got rolled on here.

I don't have an iPhone and probably never will, and yet I still watched this video all the way through 😅

I looked for the Licht camera app within the App Store but was unable to locate it.

@LgFaver 1 day ago

Sadly the free version of the app is useless if you’re looking to keep the background of the widget transparent. only works with a dark wallpaper.

How about a setup with one ui 9.0?

i was waiting for this:face-purple-wide-eyes:

I’ll be honest and direct: I installed it, tried a widget, and it worked; however, I couldn't find my apps in the drawer. I exited and closed the app, but when I tried to open it again, it wouldn't launch—it just kept closing immediately. Also, there are very few (if any) free widgets. Maybe there should be more free widgets, with customization being the paid feature? And I didn't understand why I couldn't add my apps to the drawer; the ones I actually use simply don't show up.

Can the music widget be linked to Spotify?

I was waiting for this video, finally!

My vote is à la carte. Just as a one time fee might be unfair for you but good for us. A subscription model is unfair for us but good for you. I hate feeling like I will have to pay for the rest of my life when I only use one or two things from an app, and when I start purging subscriptions, these types are usually the first to go. On the other hand I like the idea of paying for exactly what I use and don’t mind paying for more things in the future but it’s my choice. So yes to à la carte.

Ala carte...its a great program...

Congrats on your app 👏

Can the apps in “my drawer” show badges?

@Jayzi20 19 hours ago (edited)

add Setting on that little 9 small app, there is no way to add setting on the box

"Hello, I bought the app, but transparency is not working on my iPhone 18 Pro running iOS 27. I am not sure if there is a specific cause or a way to fix it. Best regards."
