There's another fascinating sequence in this opening episode.

Following an aircraft departure, a *Heathrow Safety Officer* enters the runway in a distinctive yellow-and-black marked *Volvo XC90* to carry out a runway inspection.

The vehicle moves quickly along the runway as the officer checks the surface for possible debris or anything else that could present a hazard to aircraft operations.

It's a side of Heathrow that passengers rarely get to see.
