Ylenia Carrisi — the daughter of legendary Italian singers Al Bano and Romina Power — disappeared without a trace in New Orleans in January 1994. She was only 23 years old.
The official version links her disappearance to the Mississippi River: a witness claimed to have seen a young woman who went into the water and never came back. But Ilenia's body was never found.
But there are details in this story that leave questions even decades later. The mysterious street musician Alexander Masakela, strange testimonies, Ilenia's last days in New Orleans, conflicting versions of her disappearance and people who later claimed to have seen her alive.
