In this video we break down what OCP did to the body of every RoboCop across the franchise — not the “cool armor” part, but the ugly meat-and-wires reality they keep off the brochure. From RoboCop / Alex Murphy to the experimental disasters of RoboCop 2, from RoboCain / Cyborg Cain to the stranger corners of the universe: RoboCop: The Series (1994 Canadian), RoboCop: Prime Directives (2001 series), the RoboCop 2014 remake, and even Frank Miller’s RoboCop version. If you’re into anatomy, brutal engineering logic, and the kind of corporate ethics that belongs in a horror movie — welcome.

It's interesting how in the original Robocop, he starts out not knowing who he was, and then regains that identity over the course of the film, while the remake has him starting out knowing exactly who he is, and they systematically strip away his humanity in order to make him more compliant...

The one that pulls it’s helmet off and showed it was just a skull is the most terrifying to me

I'm pretty sure in the 2014 remake they kept the human hand because of an incident with machines where the news person asked the public if it wants the machine to pull the trigger. So I think the human hand is there to show it is the human within that pulls the trigger, not the machine.

At least that is how I see it

Imagine being turned into a cyborg just because you work at OSHA and reported one of OCP's experiments.

There's a theory that the scientist that was shot and killed by the first prototype Robocop 2 was taken straight into to surgery, and mutilated into the second prototype Robocop 2. They needed a body immediately, they had a presentation for The Old Man coming up. Its OCP so I believe it.

I always loved how the scientist is "tightening down" robocops visor/mask by using an air power drill lmao

The most horrific scene in any Robocop is Cain's brain. Imagine watching those doctors casually examining your own empty skull?! Pure nightmare fuel.

Interesting fact, Craig Hayes who designed Robo Cain, also designed ED 209 and was upset at how quickly knock off model kits of the ED 209 hit the market. When he designed Robo Cain, who wanted it to be as complex as possible just so it would be as difficult as possible to replicate as a knock off model kit

I've always loved how the OG Robocop was like a walking tank. You NEED to have Super-Durability to take on the likes of Clarence and his crew.

If you keep the eyes you need tears. It's not about feelings or the ability to show them, it's about the ability to see, to maintain the eyes.

There was one scene where someone who works with Michael Keaton's character who showed him the numbers on different peoples reactions to Murphy's appearance as he stated the first image as 'Combat Mode' and they showed it to prisoners and this was the guys exact words 'It put the fear of god into them' and the percentage was at 88.1% and the kids reaction to his form where the guy says he transforms and the kids loved it and the percentage was at 92.4% but with the Combat Mode it was freaking hilarious as the mode made him look just like the original Robocop with Peter Weller so that was a nice homage to the franchise.

Not illogical to keep the right hand, if I remember correctly they kept it so people would feel more comfortable and accepting of shaking a human hand aside from a robotic one. And Possibly, I'm not as sure but I Think it was also for being able to use a firearm better, something about the nerves connected to the brain lets him shoot faster and more accurately or something I think lol.

When Joel Kinnaman’s RoboCop is disassembled at his request in the reboot, I found that scene the most disturbing. His acting in felt so real and the sense of dread was palpable. Being that helpless, locked into the few remaining pieces of flesh and completely dependent on the suit would be overwhelming.

22:57 Ahh, 80's acting and directing was a top notch. Dr. Faxx didn't even said a word, but you already can guess her character is a total psychopath. Just look how different her and Dr. Schenk's expressions are, them watching failed prototypes killing themselves. You could clearly see the horror and compassion on Schenk's face, but not even one muscle on Faxx's face is tense. She's attentive but does not feel anything. Just a few second long silent scene, but you can already see where this is going.

Pain also lets us know were injured preventing us from continuing on doing irreparable damage. Like touching our eyes.

@Ming1975 9 months ago

Pain was also the reason way Murphy didn't go crazy. I thought they kept parts of his left arm so he could feel. All the other failures went crazy because they are totally a brain trapped in a machine.

He also has a functioning digestive system just to eat Oreos.

This Robocop video analysis is long overdue and now it’s here

The one who pulls the helmet off give me nightmares for years, and right behind it is the stop motion Robo Cain chasing the women and the kid with the flashlights on
