Our men flee the battle, what a shameful display!

Apparently archaeological evidence from Cannae suggests that Hannibal may have used the map corner to hide in too.

alternative title: bullying stupid total war ai for 19 minutes and 40 seconds

I'm glad I'm not the only one still playing Rome 2.

Great strategy, only thing I would have recommended is to have taken that amazing opportunity of eliminating the isolated general around the 1 minute mark. That morale damage would have secured a victory sooner as well as likely saved your general, which in turn would have resulted in less casualties and therefore a stronger army in the Italian peninsula

How you didn't get a heroic victory amazes me

Thermopylae huh? Thermopylae is for tourists...

-Spartan commander

Rome npc : curse you player🤬 alway defending from that cheeky corner😠, how is this fair 🥺since my units can't cross the red line to flank yours  for some unknown  reason 🤔

I had a similiar battle in Anatolia back in Rome TW 1 as greek cities. The battle was declared legendary and was marked on the map! Love Hoplites

Dude i don’t know why but the explosive ammo that you launched into the blob of death was satisfying for some reason. it looked like when you drop a pebble into the water

For realism purposes, if I'm out-numbered in an open field battle I just create an arrow-tip square. Once the bulk of their forces are concentrated on the front, I get the rear part of the square to flank around like arms enveloping around for a hug. Causing the enemy to be surrounded. This is allot more effective rather than bulking up forces all in one line to tank the main force. Enemy forces can't flee when they get restless, and it does allot more damage on their morale over time, making it a quicker surrender for them. By the end of it I allow my forces to completely eliminate them rather than let some of them flee.

The Spartans marching down the hill on the road and the cavalry charging forward feels like something out of a movie.

In the Divide Et Impera mod; you can safely fire your ballistas without fear of friendly fire because it has a firing mode called "concentrate fire" which allows you to choose an exact spot where you want the shots to land.
It applies for the range units as well

Bro pulled a Hannibal with that one

Forced March puts your army at a 100% chance of getting ambushed. it says it somwhere in the game

Pikes and defensive stance are literally unbeatable in Rome.

Rome 2 is a banger! I really hope medieval 3 is gonna be the next big thing but with lots of factions and bigger armies to control

Had something like this as Rome against Messina. I had a reinforcement army of just cav that follows that army and it genuinely saved the battle. Absolute bloodbath

Bros just bullying that last Unit

This guy made us prove that everything is possible!
