Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are finally fighting, fourteen years late, for nothing, and the most interesting man in the whole saga isn't allowed in the building.

Eddie Hearn posted the contract verbiage himself: no Zuffa, no TKO, and no Dana White, with Dana named personally so nobody can hide behind an entity. Dana skipped the press conference, reportedly barred by the very contract Hearn put on the internet. Chael watched the presser twice and came away with nothing compelling from either fighter. Turki Alalshikh ran the show with a hot mic the whole time, and Chael still isn't sure who's actually paying for any of it, only that Eddie Hearn never spends his own money.

Here's Chael's real take: the fight itself has nothing on it. No belt, no bad blood, both men politely claiming England, fourteen years after anyone asked for it. The only interesting thing about the entire proposition is Hearn versus Dana. And his prediction: this fight scares everybody away. MMA runs 44 weekends a year, and on that night, everyone stays out of the way.
