I’m 63 and it’s never crossed my mind that I might put on weight. I’ve always had a slim figure and I know I’ll always stay like this. Everyone compliments me on my figure, I have a 27 inch waist and 38 inch hips and I’m always asked how I do it. I don’t think they believe me when I say I just decided that I’ll always be slim, but it’s the truth.

My breakthrough was when I had the realization that I was a petite woman, I had a belief from old conditioning that I was stocky and built for digging ditches lol but I started going to Tai Chi and felt graceful, people commented on how elegant I looked and along those lines. I was so surprised and brushed it off at first, then I started feeling elegant, and petite and the weight no longer was needed. Just a mind shift of seeing myself as petite and elegant and no longer built like an ox, I can still be strong without carrying around all the extra weight. It was an amazing thing for me to take on a whole different persona.

I dont have any degrees or certificates. Ive done what you talking about. I am post menopause. Getting in my best health. 1st thing I did was STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT. Then I just fill my brain with everything for my highest good. Start my day with a walk. The rest just comes along. Very slowly. Faith.

Kristy, when you asked what we’re trying to change, I wanted to share where I am. For the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking about how much of my life I’ve lived through old beliefs and programming. Like you, I’m in my late 40s, and I reached a point where I said, “Enough.”

For much of my life, I was programmed to see myself as overweight. Now I am, and I want to change my relationship with my body. I know I need to care for it and take action, but I also feel that the deeper work is changing the subconscious beliefs I bring to those actions. I’ve spent so long trying to change my circumstances from the outside in, and I’m learning to begin within.

I’ve also moved away from religious programming, while holding onto something that feels true to me: the kingdom of heaven is within. I want to live more from my heart, trust what I feel called to do, and change the way I’ve been operating.

I had a feeling I’d find people who were exploring this too, and then your video appeared! Thank you for putting this into words and for the encouragement. I’d love to hear more about how you work with beliefs that have been with you for most of your life.

This video was absolute confirmation for me.

I understand and teach my clients that we are creating our reality, and much of it starts with our thoughts .

But it wasn't until last week that I also connected it to the few pounds that I want to lose.
This video was confirmation.

I'm a clinical hypnotherapist and somatic healing practitioner and advocate the healing of past issues and core wounds which may be acting as the framework for faulty perception. Once we gain a degree of emotional control we can then begin to question what we are receiving in life. I strongly advocate the use of techniques such self-havening and (for the brave tantra and massage/ meditation) to re-calibrate and explore and accept our shadows.

I'm 74 and I'm in the process of self healing. I have chronic arthritis and lymphodeoma but over the past couple of months, after meditation, positive thinking and visualisation of being in less pain, I'm finding the pain in my knees is considerably better. My reality is going to be going on long walks and actually living again and doing all the things that I had started to believe that I would never be able to do again.

As Rush observed, "Against the run of the mill and hard as it seems, we break the surface tension with our wild kinetic dreams". Your beliefs alone do not determine your reality, but they do change how you interpret it. Long ingrained beliefs are not easily changed, (the surface tension), but change is possible.

I’m a widow and have spent the last couple of years trying to learn how to live without my husband and needed to hear all of this. Thank you for this and I’m going to start right away to change that internal dialogue of sadness and fear.
