Africa Uncensored

Children are disappearing from the heart of Mukuru slums — and no one has answers. The Vanishing Kids of Mukuru is a gripping, emotional investigation into the mysterious disappearances of Shantel, Gracie, Peter Savior, and Jayden — four young children who vanished under eerily similar circumstances.
As devastated families search for their loved ones and struggle against a slow and frustrating justice system, this story uncovers the harsh truth about child abductions in one of Nairobi’s most vulnerable communities.

Lord please protect our children whenever they are, please give comfort to these parents.

The law should be harsh on those caught for the offence of child trafficking. Since the children are gullible and easily trusting.

Thank you covering this. I once visited Kware police station and was shocked by the number of missing children posters.
Something sinester is going on. I wonder why mainstream media has never covered this 😢
I hope they get reunited with their families.

When I was around 14, my baby sister who was around 3yrs old at the time, walked out of our compound.
I still remember the desperation with which I canvased the whole area looking for her. On that day, I was home with our house help.
I searched everywhere and eventually found her almost a kilometre away with I woman I don't know. The lady claimed that my sister just followed her. That was almost 15yrs ago now.
I've never told my parents about it, my sister has no clue about it. I hope these parents find closure and their children. 🙏🏿🙏🏿

Losing a child is worse than death! At least with death you have closure 😢😢😢. How do you live knowing your child is somewhere, maybe suffering or being abused 😭😭. Lord help these parents!

The law should be changed where children are concerned. The police should start searching immediately after the report because the child has no idea what is happening or how to fight for themselves. If they wait for 24-hour, that's giving the abductor all the time they need to do what they want with the child.

I just hope and pray that the parents will find their children soon 🙏🏾

Kenyan society will have women thinking they are crazy or selfish for not wanting children yet this is how children ar treated . Kids are the biggest victoms of inhimane crimes in Kenya and that is rarely talked about

As a mom, these parents must be going through the most agonizing pain 😢 they are even strong enough to have hope because how do you live without knowing where your child is at? It's unimaginable pain and restlessness 😰. May the universe give them back their joy, for the sake of their sanity and also for the children who must be suffering too because of suddenly being away from their parents and familiar faces 😭.
May Karma get back to those who're heartless, inhumane enough to abduct kids!
And as it always has been the government which is supposed to do the most does the least... Messed up system

Oh my goodness! Missing report for children and adults should be at least be separate! Also, community centers with guards/caretakers/chaperones need to be established to help with accountability and child safety
