Love that you kept me enthralled for 7 minutes before you delivered the answer to the question in the title. Great technique.

I've learned more about antique tableware in the last eight minutes than I have in years. Thank you.

Have always enjoyed antiques but you speak to who, what and why of antiques which make them that much more enjoyable to me. I appreciate you sharing you vast knowledge.

Your ability to captivate peoples attention whilst talking about the subject matter is what made me learn so much in 8 minutes!  Thank you Steven 😁

I always think Steven is a breath of fresh air on the BBC’s Antique offerings. I always come away having learnt something. His YouTube offerings are superb as well. 👏👏👏

Steven Moore is my kind of guy- charming, stylish, knowledgeable, interesting… big fan. Delighted to see he has started his own channel.

Just discovered you Steven. I am smitten. I could listen to you for hours and days. Your knowledge and enthusiasm for china and silver and other collectibles is contagious.♥

So informative and presented in a friendly and engaging manner. Thank you, Mr. Moore.

I've never seen you on TV, I don't watch that type of stuff but I will watch this for hours. I love listening to passionate experts in very niche subjects tell me facts that will probably never come in handy to me. No sarcasm intended. 😊

Great tip, and I had to watch the entire video to learn it, so I got more than I bargained for!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge….and you are right, it is so worth it to eat from a plate with history than an “ikea” one…

I never knew that about how to tell the difference between pottery and porcelain. Your so full of knowledge it's just fascinating to me. The transferware facts 😮 Thank you for making this ❤

Very informative and enjoyable video! I’ve liked modern minimalism because the food should be the focus of the meal and not the decor or the vessel, but you give a very sound argument for using beautiful antiques.

I do want to add that the word you want to use to describe porcelain is not transparent, which means you can see everything through it like you can a window, but translucent, which means you can see light passing through but nothing else.

You sir just gained a follower!

Love the Derby. I have a perfume bottle with that pattern. I learned a lot.

That Derby bowl is gorgeous. You have inspired me to go out and find some beautiful crockery to eat my meals from. Feeling quite excited! Next week's project....off to the antiques centre.

This is fascinating! So much useful information over such breadth in such a short time! Very helpful!

This video was so informative. I very much agree with using antiques where possible, most of the joy comes from stepping back into the past and using the piece as it was intended. Antiques are such a joy, and the quality can be breathtaking. Loved this video, thank you. 😺💜

Very interesting thank you

Would you make a video on “How to tell that a pottery is old or modern”?
