Ed’s Retro Geek Out teams up with Pixel Dan for his very first toy hunt in Europe!Straight off the plane, Dan and Ed head to the legendary Leicester Vintage & Old Toy Shop to dig through shelves of classic treasures from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there, this trip also includes a sit-down coffee chat with none other than Bob Brechin, the legendary toy designer behind Palitoy’s Action Man and Star Wars toys. Bob shares incredible stories from his time at Palitoy, giving us a rare look into the history of some of the UK’s most beloved toys.

Great video Ed and a wonderful compliment to Dan's video. I absolutely loved your time spent with Bob as well - you really captured both his knowledge and his personality. All edited together really well - amazing stuff.

Great Video Ed! As a brit living in the US now and watching your videos since 2008, this is surreal Mr. Pixel Dan! Leicester is my home town, born and raised for over 40 years. I used to go to this shop frequently over the last 15 years, and when ever I am back there. My fam back there still reside not too far from the old Palitoy factory. Glad you enjoyed it, and actually pronounced the name of the city correctly 😅 Ed I have met you once at NEC Birmingham toy fair, when we were looking at some TMNT 1990 Stuff, top man 👊

FIRST OFF: Thank u/congrats ED for the BOB spotlight! But Man if only I was not cheap and in New England... Gets me all the time since we share sooo many town names 😂😂😂😂 Joe and his shop are #1 stop IF/WHEN I ever get across the pond. He just better expect a giant box of custom/vintage toys to help fund the trip 😅🎉

Hey Ed, Did you ever see the Beast Wars Transformers cartoon (And the toys that go with it)? Let me tell you, that was MY Transformers! In fact I started my collection with 7 Transformers one Christmas near the end of the line, but then of course I had to grab as much of it as I could, and so for some years I would go to big conventions and snag plenty of what I missed from the dealer room! Maybe you can imagine the pure adrenaline of the convention atmosphere, but top it off with piles of the figures, mostly from my favorite line, in the hotel room! The Transmetals and fuzors being some of the most iconic! My favorite Transformer design ever is Transmetal Optimus Primal, so now I've got the third party "Skateboard Gorilla", bigger and premium screen accurate! I already told you about that one, but OH MAN, Beast Wars was it!

Dick Tracy is such a fun line - getting more love these days. Got a carded Dick Tracy and I’ll probably leave it at that… but I could be tempted by the police squad car. You gonna splash out on The Blank? 💰💰💰

P.S. Absolutely love the movie.
