Lamenters dont even get to be the unluckiest

In one of the Ahriman books (Ahriman, Sorcerer), a white consuls ship accidentally gets raided by the space wolves 13th company.

Black Dragon: "I'm here to support you. Give me a hug."

White Consul: *Explode*.

Black Dragon: "Yeah, nvm."

Marine Malevolent Captain also killed one of them for their sword, and said Marine killed a whole squad of Guardsmen for touching the stolen White Consul sword

So my guys went up agains 10 thousand word bearers, titan legions both of which are possessed and powered by demons and also using necron tech.

With only 300 men after the first assault they managed to hold the line for 3 months with no resources other than men and tanks.

Even losing a chapter master and a 3rd party intervening making it a 3 way war they still managed to hold the line down to 3 men.

Killing 3000 word bearers while only losing 497 space marines. We didn't even hear how many titans they took down or how many necrons they had to take out just to hold on.

And even after that after all that!!! they still had demons everywhere on the planet and gray knights killing all the surviving guard.

Nah man they are bad ass.

Honestly would love some more of these chapter specific lore vids but for Chaos Warbands.

Lamentars are still the Un-Luckiest chapter....as they had the one thing 'that they are un-lucky' and now even that thing is not their's anymore....imagine telling that to a Lamenter's face - "Hey, you. You thinking you are the un-luckiest? Think again"

When people talk about unlucky chapters they often go for low hanging fruit like the lamenters or have some defect from being made in the curse founding like the lamenters or people work against them like the lamenters.

Honestly I love the white consuls and generally I love it when space marines try to do things their own way, it makes things more fun to read about then hearing about the 500th chapter that’s claim to fame is being the most fervent and unrelenting of the emperors servants.

I feel like the misfortune for both the White Consuls and the Lamenters seeps into reality. White and yellow are both painful colors to paint and Lamenters fans got gaslit into believing a non-canon warcry for years

they are the cloaked guy in a tavern crying "amateurs!!" to the Lamenters

Yo that plague marine was kinda chill ngl

The real unluckiest chapter is the Excoriators.  They are a 2nd Founding Imperial Fist chapter that no one ever mentions.

Nobody insults my Lamenter boys like this

17:09 - Not wearing a helmet while not being an ultramarine. And you're telling me this guy lived long enough to become a chapter master?
Luckiest chapter ever CONFIRMED.

Me at the start: can't be THAT bad-
Me after every new "and then it got worse": oh- Throne. It can't get any worse, right? Oh-

More specific chapter lore pls

Ok the end is kind of hilarious in a Dark way, poor Messinius, finally rebuilds his chapter with 400+ Marines only to be sent against the freaking Nekrons in charge of the Phariah Nexus mostly everyone dies, even himself, but Bobby G can't let him go, he is too competent for that and gets turned into a Primaris Marine.

At least that now he is in charge of that sector and doesn't have follow Guilliman anymore he no longer has main character syndrome and will not be sent to any main quest missions.

Titus is a great example of why you shouldn't fight with your helmet off for cool points

As someone who plays Word Bearers, I can confirm that Bane’ing a white consoul is part of the process of becoming a Word Bearer

If I remember correctly,  Cymar Xydias was probably one of (if not the oldest) Space Marine to have ever lived. With him serving as CHAPTER MASTER for almost 1,200 years. Dante himself was only in service for 1,500 years and Chapter Master for, like, 800 years. Meaning Xydias has been a Chapter Master for the White Consuls for almost as long as Dante has been alive. That is wikd to me.
