There is only ONE surah in the entire Quran where Bismillah appears twice —
and the reason behind it is beautiful. In this video we explain the story of
Surah An-Naml (Chapter 27), the letter of Prophet Sulaiman (Solomon) to the
Queen of Sheba, and why Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem is repeated in verse 30.

Surah An-Naml is the 27th chapter of the Quran, and it is named after the ant
(an-naml) mentioned in the story of Prophet Sulaiman. The first Bismillah is
the standard opening of the surah. The second Bismillah, in ayah 30, is part
of the letter itself — showing us that beginning with the name of Allah was
the practice of the Prophets long before us.
