We climbed Mt. Sanageyama, a beloved mountain in Aichi Prefecture.
It's apparently a very popular mountain, with the most climbers in the Tokai region.
On the day we climbed, there were many hikers enjoying the climb.
We started our ascent of Mt. Sanageyama from Unkoji Temple.
This mountain was originally called Mt. Washitori, but it came to be called "Mt. Sanageyama" after Emperor Keiko's pet monkey took up residence there.
This monkey is said to have accompanied Emperor Yamato Takeru on his pacification of the eastern provinces.
He must have been a super monkey, like Son Goku.
We climbed the Yamazakura Trail.
There are ups and downs, but it's a trail that allows you to enjoy the climb while you're climbing.
As we approached the summit, we could hear the sounds of lively voices.
It's no wonder it's a popular mountain.
I think we all had a great time too ( ´ ▽ ` )

知人も猿投山がトレランコースにしており親しみ深く拝聴させていただきましたよ
白山から名古屋市内まで見えるほど展望がいいです😮
ヤマザクラコースはその名の通り、あと1月ちょっとでピンクに染まるんでしょうね〜
体感されたことは見ている我々も共有して登る一歩一歩は少しでもやがて山頂に到達する意味を分かれせてくれますね。今回のなおさんはベンチを発見するとどっこいしょとお座り
されて結構足腰に負担が来ていたんだな～と察するところでした。三時間掛けて遥々された甲斐がありましたね～お声掛けは何よりの想い出と励みと喜びになりましたね✌。
当日、我々も雲興寺ルートを経て北歩道で登っている時に声掛けさせて頂きました。まさか、地元でお目にかかるとはびっくりしました。
猿投山は愛知県では最も人気の有る山ですが、最近は近くで熊の目撃情報も有り少し心配です。
愛知県の東海自然歩道にはまだ魅力的な山が有りますのでまたお越し下さい。
