A really great reel for finesse fishing and the MQ body. I love it as much as my Stratic.

Got the 2500 size and Jane put it through its laces. Really quality reel.

Go Vanford this one will start having play in the handle, if you not have the money go with exceller.

I dont know why but i choose to use this reel over my stradic for some reason

I can't explain why, but I have a subconscious issue with 2 piece bails on +$150 reels. I know for certain I cannot feel any difference, but my brain knows lol.

Handles have play in them. Spools up shitty.

Own this reel in a 2500. Its meh. Prefer my 26 Freams over it. I don't see a performance difference to justify the price difference.

Ive fished both extesively.

To me personally it's a pile of junk, because older Caldia-based models like Tatula, Ballistic, Prorex, Silver Creek had normal body, but much more expensive milled duralumin main gear, almost like in Luvias. Modern ones have monocoque body, but cheap zinc-aluminium main gear, just like in Legalis or Revros, but slightly bigger, which doesn't make any sense and is just a marketing bs.
They just downgraded the whole family of their midrange reels but want you to believe it's actually the opposite.
Maybe if everything you care about is "smoothness", then you won't notice any difference (because you are freaking blind), for some time, but if you value durability and reliability that's a huge leap back.
And the fact most american fishermen don't even know this simple fact makes me very very disappointed. That what's the difference between consumer and a real fisherman.

I have this reel in the 2500 size. It is a great reel, but I would encourage people to take a serious look at the Exceler. The Tatula is 6.7 oz with 8 bearings and the Exceler 6.9oz with 5 bearings and $125 cheaper & you can service the reel yourself.
