Would the poll have been carried out a few years later, Justin Bieber would've been among the singers.

"Lord Beaverbrook" is a crazy appellation for a Canadian. That's like an American being named Tex Eaglewing.

Jreg. It’s gotta be Jreg

My Uncle, Hunter is Canadian and he’s pretty scary he posts pictures of skeletons in motorcycles and says “you don’t wanna see my dark side” so I think it could be him

Stephen Colbert talked about The Beaver name change when it happened, he said it was a gross injustice and told his viewers "go to Urban Dictionary and define 'Canada's History' as the most depraved sex act imaginable involving moose antlers, maple syrup, and the Stanley cup," and I'm pretty sure that you can still go to Urban Dictionary and find such definitions

The worst Canadian was my 1st grade teacher at Eastview Elementary in Oakville, Ontario in 2002 for the one year I lived in Canada. She claimed to have been struck by lightning three times, didn’t believe in printing on double sided paper and didn’t remember my name until March. She made me have a bad opinion on Canada until I saw this channel.

I can already hear the Germans typing: "HE WAS AUSTRIAN"

They should've done a survey asking: How do you interpret "Worst Canadian"?

A) A bad person who happens to be Canadian, such as a serial killer.

B) A person who is bad at being Canadian, for example, by renouncing their citizenship when it is convenient.

C) A person who successfully made Canada a worse place, such as a former prime minister.

D) A person who, successfully or not, attempted to make Canada into a much worse place.

E) A modern-day celebrity who you are embarrassed to be reminded is a Canadian.

F) The most popular or longest-serving modern prime minister from the political party that you don't like.

G) Canada is just an inherently bad place, so John A. Macdonald.

Robert Pickton (the pig farm killer guy) not being on here is crazy

Gerald Bull would be my "goofy" pick. He was a super genius who dreamed of creating a Canadian defence industry to rival America's, but was ground down into madness by the impossibility of the task. He eventually moved to Iraq to make a sci-fi space weapon for Saddam, but was assassinated by either Israel or the US, neither of whom are willing to take credit.

“Canadians don’t care much about 1812 anymore.”

That’s how you know this was recorded more than a week ago.

It was announced today that Buffy Ste Marie would be expelled from the Order of Canada. The article said that 9 Canadians had been expelled over the years, which took me down a rabbit hole of  accomplished but nefarious Canucks.  Anyway, thought this list might be an interesting topic for a future video:  Alan Eagleson, David Ahenakew, T. Sher Singh, Steve Fonyo, Garth Drabinsky, Conrad Black, Ranjit Chandra, Johnny Issaluk and Buffy Sainte-Marie

I am Colombian, and my pick would be a surprise to nobody.

Pablo Escobar, the infamous drug lord who caused a lot of destruction and pain during the 80s. Someone who sadly has been turned into something of a romanticized figure by people outside Colombia who know him mostly through international news headlines, the Netflix series and very little else.

When I came to Vancouver as an international student, we introduced ourselves to the rest of the class on the first day. During my introduction, when I mentioned that I was from Colombia, one guy in the back of the classroom literally shouted "Pablo Escobar is from there righ?".

I am sure that guy was just curious, but I felt pretty awkward and embarrassed at the time.

The last guy is basically an old-timey JJ

Enough about Canadian rights, let's talk about Canadian Wrongs

I'd like to nominate myself for worst Canadian. I didn't do anything wrong, I'm just not Canadian so I've already failed as much as I could've

I'm Brazilian, and ironically- though certainly not surprisingly- during the decades in which my country was a right wing Dictatorship obsessed with hunting communists under every pillow, the historical figure most often described as "The Worst Brazilian Ever"... was a guy from the early 17th Century that fought against Portugal in favor of Brazil. LOL

Callabar (1609-1635) was the son of a slaver and an indian, and raised with his father, but when the indians, after a lot of Portuguese oppression, joined the Dutch invaders who conquered the Northeastern provinces of Brazil, Calabar took the side of the natives, making an alliance with the Dutch.

They eventually lost and he was nicknamed "*THE* traitor", undisputed owner of the epythet.

In fact, "Calabar" was used as a synonym of Judas in Brazil for CENTURIES. Can you imagine? Dethroning Judas freaking Iscarioth as the hugest traitor in a Carholic nation???? 😅

During the Military Dictatorship, the notion of a civilian joining a small armed militia against the organised power weighted a lot heavier against him than the fact that he was fighting the Portuguese in favor of the locals.

It was not until the 1970s, 200 years after the fact, that a playwright questioned who the HECK were we expecting him to be loyal to, the empire WE rebelled against not long after?????

Didn't think JJ would have a beaver mag.

The worst Norwegian is a character called vikund quisling. He was the deffense minister in the 30s who created a fascist party called ns. Ns was controversial not only for being fascist but also causing political violence. He later became the leader of nazi occupied norway which you could imagine how bad that is.
