Yo, a trans teen from Siberia here. Thank you for this video. Idk, it's for some reason so comforting hearing you talk about it so casually and stuff. Here in Russia, the government is very transphobic and people around me also. So I just go insane and escape to internet lmao. But I don't really have any options left. Any other countries that accept trans and bi people are thousands of kilometres away. The only thing that brings me comfort in this body is making up an internet persona. I will go to St Petersburg in several years (hopefully), and when I get my education, I plan to escape to Finland. Find a shelter. Find a job with the education. Get my transition. Idfk why I am vent dumping to a vtuber 😭 but sometimes you just wanna talk it out with someone who went through something similar, yk? Again, thank you for making this video. It made me feel great. edit: Thank you all for the overwhelming support in the replies! I have been doing a lot better in terms of gender comfortability and dealing with the cact that I am in a homophobic country. My elder sister has been a blessing for me. She helped a lot to deal with this stuff.
Probably in the minority of sis males here, but I have several Facebook trans friends that currently transitioning, and I've had certain questions/thoughts that I didn't want to bring up so as not to be offended. This video cleared that up very nicely. It's not necessarily about becoming more aligned with what your perception of womanhood is, but there really are chemical factors and actual changes in the brain that take place. That's incredibly fascinating to me. It's literally becoming a different person that happens to share the same vessel as the person they were pretransition. This is the perfect counter to the conservative talkingpoint that being trans is a mental disorder, and people are just calling themselves women and just expecting the rest of society to play along.
for the record, i am literally nine months on HRT today, and i'm 34. "You swear you'll never be attracted to men"? guess i failed that one, i was attracted to men decades before transition, lol. granted, i used to be bi before transition... kinda? and now i'm depressingly straight. oh my god, i do absolutely have that thing with the, uh. "maternal instincts." i'm so glad i'm not the only one. i absolutely have that "hyper self-critical" thing. it is very "ewphoric," yes. i absolutely am confused looking back at my old life. i can't understand that person. and very often when i talk to men, i don't UNDERSTAND THEM. what are men? they make no sense. and i lived as one for thirty yeeeears. also... nine months and still just a full A cup. qq. i'm hoping year two and three do me better.
2:22 If liking anime taught me something is that if someone specifies that an anime isn't sad that means that watching it will leave you with some serious trauma. Anyway go watch Evangelion, perfect for familyes; expecially when you see an hospital or a baby version of one specific girl character calling her mom
I'm pre-transition and I live in the UK, it's unlikely I'll ever get off the waiting list (anywhere from 3 to 35 years) so it's nice to see other trans girlies being able to get the healthcare they deserve and be happy with their transition though
i cried in a musical just recently. out in the public. and i told the actor when i got his signature. so, i 100% agree with you in regards of it being liberating. on the other hand i feel unstable af. like i can be angry and break something, feel sad and cry, love and hug my cat and laugh like a maniac in the span of about 0.6305 seconds, which ist fantastic! 7/5 i love it so much! (actually not a joke, it is amazing!)
edit: yeah i typed in that comment when you said it was liberating. you also added exactly what i said just like with more rainbows and sparkles. amazing! i love you so much! 🤩😍
