“i didn’t say you look bad, i said you look german” -rhett mclaughlin 2021

I want to attend the Miyagi School of Driving and Fresh Breath

I really respect how Rhett is willing to say he was being defensive about the extended gmm episode format, but it makes me sad how rough that was for them because frankly, those episodes aren't bad. At all. I never got the hate. A lot of it seemed like people just couldn't deal with change.

The Neals "got Wipes man!" The McLaughlins have "like one napkin from McDonalds in the glove compartment."  😂  I'm so in the McLaughlin camp on this one!

I already listened on Spotify but I wanted to see what Link looked like, I am not disappointed

“Good Night Beasts” has a good ring to it, I wonder if there’s an alternate universe where they chose the night show lol

I need Ear Biscuits every day at this point tbh

Rhett---" Getting people to deal with their nasty, stank ass breath". 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I didn't realize season 22 was that negatively impactful on the business! I've been watching GMM every day for years, and that format was kind of inconvenient to me but I guess I never thought a whole lot about it

Hey just wanted to say thank you guys for Ear Biscuits! I’m a 20y/o girl from Kazakhstan (Central Asia) and I have been a huge fan of yours for over 6 years now. It’s fascinating how a lot of the things you say on your podcast can resonate with me considering how different we are! I mean you both are in your 40s, have families and kids, a big business not to mention that you grew up in the US and still live there. Despite all those factors I genuinely enjoy the discussions you have and find myself feeling like an old friend of yours! Every time Rhett mentions his performance-oriented personality and how he places his self-worth on his success I feel like someone is literally reading my mind. And knowing that such a mature and successful person has the same thought patterns as me gives me so much hope and relief. And when Link talks about his self doubts during the teenage years when he would rather choose to not act to avoid judgment or rejection it again makes me feel so much better about myself because I too have been struggling with the same challenges. When I wasn’t listening to EB and was only watching GMM a couple of years ago, I always used to think that Link is such a confident person who never stops to care what others may think of him (in a positive way). Excuse my chaotic writing and possibly not amazing English😅 but I honestly find listening/ watching Ear Biscuits one of the most heartwarming experiences. Please keep sharing and reflecting!

I actually love the unique shape of these glasses on Link, I feel like they give him hot fashion dad vibes lol

I don’t have my driver’s license and I’m 24, but that’s because of severe anxiety.

I’m working on it, however.

“We’d have one napkin from McDonald’s”
I feel that, Rhett.

I remember really clearly the fall-out from the format change and the subsequent explanation episode of Ear Biscuits. I had to step away from the fandom/show for a little while not because of the format change (it was fine) but because I got so much second hand embarrassment from R+L, and was embarrassed by the way fans were reacting online. The whole situation did not sit well with me, the whole idea of the show is let's throw crazy things at the wall and see what sticks, the creative journey is the fun part, not some polished, perfect, TV show. The reaction online was so overblown and the boldness folks feel from behind a keyboard, critiquing someone else's creative endeavors, never fails to flabbergast me.

The single mcdonalds napkin in the glove box hits a little too close to home man

I have been dealing with a personal failure in life for months and this is the first time i got really good advice from anyone....felt so refreshing to hear this

I just hope someone picks up unattended baggage, that clip just wasn't enough, I need a 10 minute show on youtube every day at 6pm

The wine glass analogy makes a LOT of sense. Rhett is right that so many people don't ease into the brake, and that makes your actions unpredictable to other drivers.

What about someone making a pitch to you?  What are you looking for in a potential creative partnership and what makes a pitch really stand out?

I refuse to believe the enneagram episode will actually come. It’s been like “Waiting for Godot”
