Lost Planet 2 is one of the best games that came out of the Xbox 360 and PS3 generation of shooters. Capcom poured a whole lot of hard work into this game and despite having some downsides, 13 years after release, it's hard to find another game that gives the same vibe.

The multiplayer is varied, the co-op campaign is an absolute blast, and the things to unlock are endless. PLUS, no microtransactions or live service mumbo jumbo? Oh baby, sign me up right now.

I miss Lost Planet 2 sooooo much. I'd kill to introduce it to my friends but I can't give the full experience with the whole GFWL thing. It's a damn shame.

I miss this guy. He made lost planet videos and then disappeared.

Pro tip for the boxes: use your grappling hook to grab multiple in a line, it will save you time and ensure many more boxes.

Why does nobody ever talk about the first one, it's a masterpiece

still my favorite game of all time, so many great memories playing this game with friends. i still remember all the laughs when someone would mess up a quick time event and everyone watched their character die.

Finding your channel 9 months after you stopped uploading is almost as disappointing as not getting a Lost Planet 2 remake.

Good stuff man, hopefully you come back!

One cool thing that wasn't mentioned that exists in Lost Planet 2 was that there were a pair of mechs that could combine together to create a mini super mech, but of course you need 2 actual players to do it in the campaign and also there's only like 1 maybe 2 SECTIONS of missions in the whole game that both mechs needed to combine show up together and even then it's not all that good and is a Thermal energy guzzler from what I remember, but it was still super cool that that even existed at all in the game.

The soundtrack was dope as shit. There's so many hidden features in this game even with the VS's. Then there's the support gun, transforming it into a giant gun which has different effects depending on what weapons your team has, my favorite was having my team using the gun sword because you literally throw a sun at your enemies

I love how silly and fun this game is. the emotes were awesome, I loved assisting new players with all the whistles and waving gestures trying to show off all the best features to the level.
I really like how its was very capcom arcade like. the focus was definitely just a fun silly time in this game, it doesn't take itself too seriously.

The cutscene QTE deaths are great because nothing happens if you have a custom character but the guy you were playing as just dies with the default models and you get replaced by a new guy with a different outfit.
The characters in LP2 may be un-named and replaceable but they have just enough character to make the factions stand out and to make them likeable, so I appreciate it for the sorta story the game is telling. Plus, the VA work makes them all sound pretty cool.

This is a game my mother introduced to me and we were hooked pulling all nighters playing co-op ❤

i didnt have a favorite "Moment" in LP2 but mixing and matching vs weapons onto different VS' was always a fun mechanic. Most of the weapon types were pretty fun from what i remember and dual wielding some while mixing between one and another made it worthwhile to seek them out or hoard them. that and the special transform attack move that summoned a fucking mini sun xD

I think my favorite part of this game was the same reason I loved halo reach. You weren't a named character you are the character. You get to customize and create your dude and then run through the game solo or with a team of friends. Then you can bring your character in to pvp if your into that. The design should be iconic and I'm surprised it's not used more.
