The journey from Vladivostok to Novosibirsk begins! 🚗

This time, we're driving a 2020 BMW X1 L, which AutoSelect brought from China for our client Vera in Novosibirsk.

Vera decided not to wait for the car transporter and asked me to personally drive the car home. I'm no stranger to driving cars across Russia—I've driven in both summer and winter. But this particular journey somehow began to resist even BEFORE I even got the keys to the BMW.

A direct ticket from Novosibirsk to Vladivostok in August 2026 cost up to 72,000 rubles. I really didn't want to give up almost all my earnings on one flight, so we put together an alternative route for just under 30,000 rubles:

Novosibirsk → Mirny → Khabarovsk → Ussuriysk.

And off we go.

First, the flight from Mirny is delayed by about SIX hours. While I'm sitting in the practically empty airport, the next piece of good news arrives: the Khabarovsk-Ussuriysk train is also delayed by almost FOUR hours.

We get to Khabarovsk practically without sleep, try to get to the train station at night, wait for the train, travel in a reserved seat carriage, and just manage to pick up the BMW from the lab in Ussuriysk at the last minute.

And then we begin preparing the X1 for the big journey across Russia.
