DRAGONS: Legends Around the World | Sleep Story
Timeless Dreams
66,595 views
🌙 For thousands of years, people across the world have told stories about dragons.
Some were monsters. Some guarded rivers, temples and hidden places. Some brought rain, some protected people, and others became part of the ancestry of entire cultures.
In this long-form sleep story, we travel through ancient legends from Europe, India, Southeast Asia, Tibet, China, Japan, New Zealand and beyond, following the dragon as it changes from one land to another.
Created specifically for Timeless Dreams, this episode brings many distinct dragon traditions together through original creative direction and a carefully developed narrative. Its artwork, animation, narration, music, ambience and sound effects were individually selected, synchronized and manually edited to give every culture and legend its own atmosphere.
Along the way, we meet serpents beneath rivers, dragon kings, sacred guardians, eight-headed monsters, real Komodo dragons and stories in which the creature was not meant to be killed at all.
Told slowly and atmospherically, this is a journey through myth, folklore, history and the old stories people used to make sense of a world that still contained many mysteries.
🌙 Relax, listen and travel through the legends.
