Which of the many versions of The Long And Winding Road do you prefer?

I listened to The Long And Winding Road for nearly an hour on the day I graduated high school.  It helped me to get through the day, as I reflected on the real possibility that I would never see most of my high school friends after that day.  Thanks, Paul, for the song and it's beautiful message.

Nobody understands the toll it took on them to make this. Imagine trying to make perfection x10. This album changed music forever.

I just love love this song the long and winding road 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 RIP John Lennon And George Harrison 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️😔😭😔😭

I've always loved the orchestra and choir arrangement. Without the orchestra there are empty parts that needs to be filled.

To get an awesome song writer in a band is a lucky deal for sure.  To get four men that all could write, well that is just impossible isn’t it?  We will never see this happen again.

ALL Versions of this song are beautiful, because it is beautiful in and of itself. You can't wreck it.

I deeply admire Paul for his ability to be open to ideas, patient with the process, and always respectful, though he could have become an egomaniac with all the talent he possessed.

Paul is sweet with Heather, understanding that she is a child and most likely bored.  Instead of chastising her and telling her to sit down, he holds her and catches her as she amuses herself.

After listening to this song for over 41 years, I still haven’t figured out Is this a sad song or powerful melancholy !

Look how he respects the input of Mal.

And pools of tears, crying for the day, and many times I've cried. That's how the fans felt around the time it was released. The entire Beatles era seems like kismet. This was the perfect song for the end of that era.

So happy Paul McCartney didn’t get his way in having the orchestra and harp eliminated.

My no 1 favourite Beatles song. And of course the 1st Let It Be album version.

Amazing to see the processes they went through for this song to be enjoyed by everyone till now

I played that 45 so many times and my high school choir did it in a Beatles medley   in the late 70s. This was very interesting. Thanks.

my favorite Beatles song ever....... always crying to hear this song, even at Yesterday movie sing by Jack Malik...that's beautiful cover too

John was using the Fender VI bass guitar trying to nail down this song. After about 18 or 19 takes it sounded just about what it should have. This shows it takes pros like these.guy to learn a song a lot of time to master.

I love how Ringo sits through these sessions so intently, completely mesmerized by the process. It would no doubt help him in the coming years in his own creativeness.

I have driven that Long and winding road …. It was absolutely an adventure - at times two way traffic in a one lane road heading up and down mountain side!!
