Racism? In south africa? Unheard of

Other games: racism is bad
Hoi4: racism, it's good for the economy 👍

Who decided it was a good idea that you just couldn't become free unless you picked one of the focus paths? Who needs to have their brain questioned?

Whoever plays South Africa for fun needs therapy

I'm editing this because I realised that I'm the type of person to enjoy a Historical Australia playthrough

Throwback to me as a bright eyed new player, wanting to play my country and seeing how shit the focus tree was

What did paradox mean by having the economy never get fixed if you end racism

I don’t care about apartheid, I care about seg-rat-ation.

I knew immediately it was gonna be about one of the Dominions lmao. I’ve tried to play South Africa before and yeah it sucks.

At this point Paradox owes you compensation for emotional damages

I remember trying south africa like 4 years ago and it took me 12 hours and until 1958 to take all of africa. Mainly bc manchukuo took Ethiopia and i didnt try building a navy so i had to go through the mid east and india.
Also, for everyone's consideration:

I've travelled this old world of ours from Barnsley to Peru
I've had sunstroke in the arctic and a swim in Timbuktu
I've seen unicorns in Burma and a yeti in Nepal
And I've danced with ten-foot pygmies in a Montezuma hall
I've met the king of China and the working Yorkshire miner
But I've never met a nice South African

I forget South Africa exists, it's snugly buried between everything, and buried under the UK colonies

At least with chile or something it's by the Pacific, which makes it kinda noticeable

South Africa is just there...

The only nation that's just as unnoticeable is British Malaya (unless you want resorces, then that's the first place you're looking)

It's bizarre that Paradox decided to include all thes nations in the first paid DLC. It's more bizarre that devs made these weak nations even weaker by adding "contents" to them. You'll have much better experience playing as British Malaya.

Yay, my home country, I hate it. I swear all the Together for victory focus trees need a complete rework, not just a focus here and a focus there.

Day 395 demanding ISP to form Mongolian empire with generic focus tree and minimal mods.

South Africa's Focus tree is a crime tbh.

So many will be trying to 'fix' it after that mod tutorial dropped.

I do hope that Paradox takes a second look at some of the earlier DLC focus trees. British Raj could also use some help

ISP: keeps racism to buff industry

Also ISP: doesn’t build industry

Just rename yourself to Hannibal... who is crazy enough to drive TANKS up the Alps? Yes ISP is

Paradox took the Spitting Image song "I've Never Met a Nice South African" to heart and decided to make South Africa not fun as a punishment to all white South Africans

I love the choice about Apartheid it gives the player. "So, do you want to keep really, really, really bad racism? Or do you want to downgrade it to just really, really bad racism?"
