THANK YOU for calling these people out! I’ve watched some where they’ll be inside the tent and something smacks the side of it. They’ll wait long enough for whoever it is to get out of shot and then they’ll say, “Let’s see what that was!” Of course, they’ll go out, pan around, and no one’s there. FAKE!

I "accidently" watched one of those videos because it had a channel name almost identical to another channel I watch regularly. I watched it anyway but it seemed very suspicious so I looked at the channel and saw all the other videos had similar disasters like the tent burning down. <eyes-roll>
I've also come across a set of about 5 or 6 channels that all use the same props and have almost the same script, but with different people in each channel. Themes like "Hiker saved by abandoned trailer found in the mountains"

We the YouTube audience see through the fake stuff right away.  What you do translates on so many levels as AUTHENTIC so be encouraged! And please keep up the great filmmaking, my friend

I have noticed an uptick in the topic of your candid campfire chat across genres. not just the camping ones but also in the campfire tales and spooky tales that naturally seem to intersect them. I’ve looked forward to Tuesdays for awhile to catch your videos, you always keep it real and inevitably make me laugh brother, and I’m a lifelong resident of Southern Appalachia that is attempting to launch a channel of some of the real life weird and spooky stories from our culture and the obviously staged or exaggerated content that is flooding the interwebs definitely takes away from us all and makes it difficult for everyone to separate the wheat from the chaff and you’re absolutely right it’s an insult to the cumulative intelligence of us all. Just keep doing what you’re doing man, I love your channel and will continue to look forward to Tuesdays. Let’s just hope all this nonsense eventually loses steam naturally as people begin to grow weary of it❣️🙏🏻

I agree about the fake camping videos.
For me, I am upset by the fake RV videos. Those that go out one weekend a month, and pretend like they are full-time RV’ers.
I’m out here every day in my RV, and some weekend warrior comes out and pretends to know all about stuff. So fake.

The music you choose for these is lovely. It really stands out and makes the production of the entire video so much nicer. Your video and sound editing is top notch.

Over half a century ago a book was written on the subject of too much change in too little time. The book title is Future Shock.   These days there is so much to look at and do and time is a valuable commodity.  I like watching camping videos and watch new channels that have been recommended by the channels I trust. Which is how I became aware of Small Plots.  There is so much to see on YouTube that you could miss out on other things in life.  Fortunately I am retired and happen to wake up at 4 a.m. and have a few hours to enjoy watching YouTube videos.   Keep on camping.
