Dude, borescoping the cylinders (and checking compressions if possible) is best done prior to embarking on timing repair. You first evaluate the condition of the engine, then proceed with repairs. (Not to beat on you, just making a comment :) ).

That was lot of work. People who watch only see the work on the car, but the work + filming the video and then recording the voiceover and editing the video in general is at least as much work as the work on fixing the car. Especially if it's all done by one person. So congratulations. Great video and you're a great mechanic! 😊

I am happy i found this channel, I am a mechanic enthusiast (not a pro), and I do similar stuff, timing, etc. I thought it was going to be solenoids, but just like you i was not expecting it was going to be bearings. Great job, i can imagine how much work went into this. When you watch on youtube things are so easy , in reality, when you have to do it, things get so complicated so quick :D Good job, my friend

I admire your dedication, persistence and enthusiasm greatly, however, I have to say that I'm very surprised that you were surprised that worn out bearings can lower the oil pressure! As a matter of fact, it goes without saying at all. Anyways, most of the time, our mistakes are the best teacher. Although, we can avoid a lot of mistakes by researching the net thoroughly.

In this video, kids, you see why you first check compression, and when you see no compression and bent valves, you fix the bearings, the valves, the tensioners and everything else in one go, instead of fixing tensioners and reassembiling everything, then sensors and reassembiling everything, then pumps and whatnot and reassembiling everything, then sprockets and reassembiling everything, then bearings and reassembiling everything.

This is such a beautiful car! wow I would been sad if it couldn't be fixed. Great job, one hour went very fast but I know it took hours of work on that engine and then editing, thank you for sharing. There will be a very lucky new owner for this puppy.
