I was four when this was shown. I learned to read and tell the time watching Playschool as a little kid.

Great memories, and Julie stevens was just gorgeous !

Although this was from way before I was born it looks like it was a much nicer time. The presentation was high quality and the lady presenter was very warm and likable.

Julie once said that the 1 thing she hated about Play School was having to sing the 12 days of Christmas

That calendar thing was so iconic, turning the blocks around to show the date. Never forgotten it!

TV shows in the 1970's were simple and quaint. I was 8 in 1970 but remember my 3 year old cousin watching and loving playschool
