I like how Flandre asserts dominance by destroying DWG in teamfights while using a DWG skin

Flandre: has never went to Worlds and wants to prove himself
JieJie: filling in the shoes of Clearlove
Scout: looking for his first international trophy
Viper: looking for his redemption after a terrible year in 2020
Meiko: pressured of being a leader and a carry for his team after Clearlove left

They all deserve it.

Faker: execute order 66
Scout: Yes my Lord

Fun fact: LPL didn't lose a single best of 5 against other region in 2021

Jiejie is the most underrated living organism so far, he really steped Up.

When EDG took DK down in game 5, one of the chinese casters said, "The longest road has its end, just as the longest night shall have its dawn." The faithful's of EDG are finally rewarded after 6 years of waiting, and there's no better journey's end, no better quality-win than this.

Viper flashing OVER Syndra stun at 39:36  INCREDIBLE

The arrogance of DK and the fans of LCK before the finals was disgusting. People shitting on RNG and EDG while saying that DK vs T1 was the 'real finals'. Glad to see that they got their high nose crushed.

I've never been happier to be wrong about my predictions

Such an emotional victory. Brought a tear to my eye to see EDG overcome so much and complete the storybook ending and win Worlds. Each player defeated their personal demons and overcame their struggles to get here.

Flandre spent so many years with Snake and the team decided to openly trade him last year putting him in such a tough spot.
Finally found a team that he could mesh so well with.

Jiejie, one of the youngest players at the tournament, filling the big shoes of Clearlove, experienced a tough year where people classified him as the weak link of the team. He was so hard on himself for his poor performance against WE in summer playoffs. But he built a ton of confidence after winning the summer split and carried it into Worlds.

Scout, for so long was the one player on EDG carrying the team and trying to bring them to success. Has been with the team since 2015/2016. But stuck it out and finally got a team where didn’t have to carry so much of the load.

Viper, experienced such a tough year last year with the collapse of Griffin, the underperformance with HLE. Started a new adventure in China where he was able to regain his confidence, rediscover his strengths, and return to his former self.

Finally, Meiko. The stalwart and heart of EDG. Been with the team even longer than Scout. Endured so many disappointing international performances with EDG. But after 7 years, he finally is able to raise the Summoner’s Cup.

Shoutout to Maokai, KenZhu, and the rest of the staff too. They always had their player’s backs and supported them.

I also want to give a ton of respect to DK. Thank you for an amazing series. They had such a historic Worlds performance and were very dominant throughout the entire tournament. They have a ton of talent there and I expect them to be competing for more international titles in the future.

This was such a great moment for EDG fans, LPL fans, and China as a whole. Congratulations EDG!! You deserve it!!

Excellent translator - was able to convey what everyone said (even lengthy answers) and did it in English/Mandarin/Korean. When Sjokz asked Viper the question, the translator asked first in Korean and after she did the Korean to English translation, she did the whole question/answer sequence again in Mandarin.

I'm Korean.. I'm sad about DK lost.. Congratulate EDG!! You guys are 2021 Worlds Champions!!!! I hope riot make EDG skin like IG~

EDG: Call me god of the fifth game!

The Scout Faker story is so anime. the protégé finally steps up at the most critical time and takes revenge for his mentor :')

Man so sad there were no fans in this final.  Could just imagine how loud the fans would cheer

Damn. Scout really did said that they've taken revenge for Faker.. Mad respect for this team, indeed.

EDG pre-competition voice:
Meiko: can you guys hear?
Flandre: Yup
Scout: Yup
Viper: Yup
Jiejie: Yup
Khan: Yup

The lady interpreter is the true champion. Peferect translation. Her memory is amazing. And three languages...

Meiko puts down a ward in the bush at 31:53 even with Kennen in the bush is just insane acting skill there

Jiejie is the real mvp!!
