I pressed space and all that happened was I jumped in place. Do I need to press other buttons as well?

instructions unclear i made space and my dps are dead

6:45. 5 final takeaways from this video:
1. Tank is about controlling space
2. Use corners
3. Push when enemy on cooldowns
4. Don't chase kills
5. Be decisive

I was accused of cheating and got banned. Thanks

Best advice that helped me on all heroes/roles....."what is my hero good at". It controls where you go, how you play, and keeps you playing on your terms. The next to what is my hero good is what are their heroes good at (basically dont play into their strengths) This really helps simplify positioning on all roles. You keep engagements to your heroes strengths, not theirs. Lastly but perhaps most important is the map geometry and what heroes strengths does the map naturally favor. The less favorable the map is to your hero, the more creative you have to be to keep engagements playing into your strengths

Jokes on you I watched this video without doing anything else AND I even retained some information!!

Must have been the wind at the end

As a casual quick play player I love vids like these, cause the game is so complex but in QP on tank you auto win every game basically if you just walk forward.

Most people don’t know what to do in the face of pressure in that mode and will just capitulate.

thanks for making this easily digestible and to the point. i've peaked at plat 1 and getting frustrated with the game. this is inspiring me to write out a flowchart for how to play tank so i can make decisions on the fly. super helpful!

"me in the bathroom" yeah that intro feels pretty accurate *11:00AM*

Oh man I'm really glad I found this vid, you make a lot of good points that I forget about in the middle of team fights. I need more OW content that's on how to play better, instead of just trying to copy the high rank games I watch on youtube. I was Plat Tank last season, but think i got too invested in the idea of chasing kills and lost all my placement matches. Ended up in Silver 3 this season and the climb back up before season 2 is gonna kill me if I don't play smarter.

Hi! Just wanted to say thank you for the video. Im a seasoned tank main and have been playing since launch - I know all of this stuff! But watching this really helped me get a refresher and combat tank fatigue and for that I appreciate you!

Great video. Gonna play Rein on Eichenwalde only

even though i dont explicitly use tiktok, the attention span thing hit close to home

I've learned that the community here is awesome

Hey, I’d love some feedback on a match I played.
For context: in Stadium I reached All-Star, and in Competitive I peaked at Masters 5. I don’t consider myself amazing, but also not bad — just a decent player with around 200 hours total, about 50 on Reinhardt. I also spend a lot of time watching guides and trying to improve my Rein gameplay.
So here’s the situation: I played a Quick Play match as Reinhardt with 4 friends. Our team was Rein (me), Moira, Kiriko, Hanzo, and Reaper. Moira and Reaper are new players, Kiriko has ~25 hours, and Hanzo is Diamond 3 with 200+ hours.
The enemy team was: Doomfist, Ashe, Anran, Kiriko, and Lucio.
My stats: 26 kills,11k damage ,10k MIT, 9 deaths.
Team stats: Hanzo: 21 kills, 7k damage, 10 deaths ; Reaper: 12 kills, 4k damage, 8 deaths ; Moira: 23 kills, 5k damage, 4k healing, 9 deaths ; Kiriko: ~7k healing, 2k damage, 8 kills, 23 assists, 9 deaths (she disconnected mid-game so I added to her stats my other healer stats that joined in)
We ended up losing mainly because Doomfist kept diving our backline, and with Anran + Doom it felt really hard to do a thing… Hanzo might have not been the best pick into that game...
What I tried to do was play aggressively — push forward, farm ult, and pressure/dive their supports so my team could deal with Doomfist and the rest without healing. Reaper was mostly focused on Ashe (so she wasn’t much of a problem), but he wasn’t really helping much against Doom.
My question is:
In this situation, what would you have done?
- Should I have played more defensively and stayed back to protect my team from Doomfist?
- Should I have swapped heroes?
- Or was playing aggressive and trying to trade backlines the right call?
I did try to peel, but with Kiriko suzu, Lucio mobility, and constant dives, it felt really hard to control the situation.
Would really appreciate your thoughts 🙏

It's what I always say to my friends, this game is about being near walls and using them constantly as a cover
I almost always play sigma, and the moment I started getting good is when I left less open space on my surroundings
Same for the other 2 roles, start fights/heal your allies only when you're near a wall to use as cover

I think best advice I’ve got is before you do anything is check to see if my team is ready
