The "Live from the Court" collection was thus able to be produced in various French jurisdictions, tracing the hearings of around a hundred cases in their time and in a raw format, without commentary or intervention. Morgane Production specifies that the laws in force between 2010 and 2013 may have changed. The judgments handed down at the time in the "Live from the Court" collection may therefore no longer reflect today's legal reality.
In this case, a wine cooperative is on trial after adulterating a batch of rosé wine using tartaric acid. Although the acid is a natural product, its use in wine production was prohibited at the time of the incident. The wine was sold despite its adulteration, and the company made a profit of €122,000. The cooperative denied any fraudulent intent, but the evidence of adulteration is overwhelming. Key facts:
Illegal use of tartaric acid in wine production
Falsification of 2006 rosé wine, offered for sale for between €88,000 and €122,000
