Had a pair of d-7's and a friend brought his accuphase receiver and blew a woofer, the place i bought them from couldn't get the woofer to replace the blown one, but for the 450usd i paid they gave me a pair of At-15's brand new. Loved them and with 120 watts per channel those speakers were loud as hell.

I just scored a set of PD-9’s had never seen them before. Have you? They were cheap so I went for it. Seems like a D-9 but only sold overseas. Mostly at the base exchange for military people. I’m having to give them a little love, re-gluing braces, replacing tweeter domes.  But they are in immaculate condition overall. I can not wait to have these things up and running. I appreciate you having content around this brand. I’ve loved them since I was a teen. And am finally getting to own them. The crossover videos will be super handy in the future

Had a pair of Cerwin-Vega RE30's in the 90's being driven by a Pioneer VSX-604S at 4Ω when it was only ment to handle 8Ω loads, but took the CV's like a champ!~
 Used to shakes the neighbors house playing Quad City Dj's!~

I, too, put something stupidly heavy up on a shelf over 6 feet up when I was younger and much dumber.   It was a 19” CRT, probably weighing over 200 lbs.  Took two of us, rigged a winch (not a wench) to lower it to the ground without it killing is under it or by the tube shattering.  

My CV E-715s are safely on the ground.   They may not be the best, but four of them really rocked my home theater 27 years ago.

I would love to see a "live" showdown between some CVs VS. GR Research Brutes or Bullys at Full Gain ! How cool would that be...if nothing else, great entertainment...

Great video as usual. What do you think of the AT-15? I've seen some of your other videos of you reviewing other AT models, but not the 15's.

I like these crossovers better now since I upgraded them. The D9s lost that muffled sound that was killing my mids, imo. I did notice maybe a slight boomyness in the woofers so, I went with a polypropylene cap over the standard one on the woofer for a faster discharge rate. The bass is quicker, and controlled even at 225 watts rms... these are a keeper...lol

Anybody compare D9 vs DX9? I just had my DX-9 serviced. They sound better than new. I know this because I bought them new in '91. Absolutely love them

Good video! Some of the Vegas measured much better than people realize. Not sure why there is such a bad stigma on them. I sent my crossovers to Danny at GR Reserch and he sent me back all the parts to re do them. Higher quality equal value. It was totally worth it. Also the No-Rez cleans the bass up significantly. Glad you are putting this content out there!

Took the toy woofers that came in the D9's and I put vintage JBL H2226  600 watt woofers in them and they are insane ..

Have you (or anyone) considered changing the variable resistor for a fixed resistor?    I would think it could also be a noise source in the crossover.   I just ordered all the parts to rebuild my crossovers from dayton audio.  It came to $160 total.

Worked at a consumer store from 84-86 and we sold CV (also higher brands).  My goto demo was on the D7's, as to tighter bass. As to the change in color...blasphemy 😀.  This would make a nice veneer project to keep it 70's-80's look.
