If you guys know any I missed,  post them in this here comment apparatus! I feel there are probably so many examples in TV shows, but even hunting these down took more effort than I thought.  Anyways I'll see you later, say hi to your mom for me!

Jesse Pinkman is canonically a Sonic fan.

It's crazy how show makers just literally pay zero attention to how games work and think nobody will notice.

I think House said 'level four' sarcastically, like he's a real gamer who knows that a normie like the other guy wouldn't understand

in episode 3 of house, they reuse the same clip of samus getting into the chozo statue, but this time its a patient playing, and she acts like she lost when objectively shes just progresing further or "winning". someone on that production team really likes metroid

Welcome to Fortnite Walter.

I loved it when Walter White and Jesse Pinkman turned Super and stopped the Biolizard!!!

16:46 oh he’s playing as Rainbow Mika of course he’s playing with one hand

I remember back in elementary school there was some PSA video they showed us.  There was a part where the kid character is playing a GBC that just... didn't have a cartridge in it.  We all started making fun of it, and it basically became a meme within our classroom.

I’ve been watching Breaking Bad, and seeing Jessie play Sonic is honestly so perfect.

The random clicking of controllers always kills me

I think the only show I've seen that perfectly understands videogames is South Park. You can feel they know what they're talking about when it comes to videogames.
The best example I can think of is RDR2, they spend a whole episode (technically 2 episodes with one continuous plot) referencing it here and there, talking about specific characters and specific locations. You can definitely tell Matt and Trey were obsessed with it.

15:27 Unexpectedly good Frieza impression

i'm glad we got the "mash every button because it is a tense game even though the sounds from the tv are just the loading screen" cliche out of the way within 2 minutes

House loves being snarky to people that know less than him both in medicine and in gaming. It's not that he actually thought he was on Level 4 in Metroid- he just doesn't have time to explain the game to a non-alpha-male-gamer-supreme.

Watching clips of sonic heroes being used in breaking bad literally made me do that one Leonardo DiCaprio meme where he snaps and points at the tv

Gamings’s worst enemy….

BAD ADAPTATIONS!

Shoutout to whoever was putting metroid in all of those House episodes trying to get more people into the series

One part that wasn’t in this video that I wanted to honorably mention was a different scene in Breaking Bad where Badger and Skinny Pete rant about different types of zombie games and there was a surprising amount of info about it.  It may not have been 100% accurate but I could picture it being a real conversation. They even included multiple games that were big at the time (Left 4 Dead, CoD Zombies). Them bringing up COD zombies when the mode was still young makes this feel like such a deep cut

Honestly, that Amazing Race challenge is really funny. It’s not like the others where it’s a script that’s been poorly thought out, it’s live people who don’t play video games trying to beat a professional at Street Fighter.
