Alla Faye and Mbaye Ndour, two currency traders on Rue Raffenel in Dakar, disappeared after a meeting for a major currency exchange. A few days later, their bodies were found bound in the trunk of a white Mercedes in Liberté 6.
Their colleagues trusted them. Their families were waiting for their return. How could this business trip have ended in a double murder?
In this investigation, I retrace the case of the Dakar currency traders: their disappearance in January 2008, the initial leads of the police, and the trial that began almost five years later. Four defendants were present. A fifth was absent. Before the judges, conflicting accounts emerged.
Through press archives, court transcripts, and a witness testimony, we revisit this Senegalese criminal case and the lives it shattered.
