Vicente has just fulfilled one of his biggest dreams: graduating as a police officer. Behind this achievement was Carmen, his mother, a humble woman who worked for years selling bananas and even went into debt to help him study.

But when Vicente proposes to Patty, everything begins to change. His fiancée is ashamed of Carmen because of her job and slowly tries to convince him that he must leave behind the humble life he comes from. Blinded by his new relationship, Vicente begins to forget all the sacrifices his mother made for him.

What he doesn't imagine is how far Patty will go when he's not around… and when she finally discovers the truth, she will have to make a decision that will change their lives.
