Some more tips from a Novaria main;
1} Always use you right index finger for forward/sideward camera angle vision after/during astral recall for better aiming of your star shatter.
Of course, it's done by dragging your screen which everyone knows.

2}Her ultimate is best for stopping ambushes and checking the nearby grass areas before lord/turtle fights to avoid ganks.
So always check it with your astral echo and try to land a shot immediately as a follow up to your ultimate to gain a HP advantage over the enemy team.
It will be a cherry on the top if you will be able to hit their MM/Mage because you will be eliminating a minimum of 60% of their HP bar before the fight even starts in one shot.

3}The enemies marked with her ultimate will get area damage from her S2(star shatter) if they are close enough within her enhanced 250% HITBOX range if you will hit them.
So try hitting as many as you can when they are cluttered to maximize your damage.

4}If the enemy team has johnson, you can use your S2 and be on the top of thick walls to avoid Johnson's direct hit from his ultimate.
Or you can simply go outside the map using her S2 5s time.
But be mindful that you only have 5s to do whatever you can.

5} Composition counter items;
i] Always build blood wings as your 2nd item if the enemy team has many assassins/dive heros because of it's shield and extra movement speed.

ii] Always build wishing lantern as your 3rd/4th item when the enemy team has high HP tanky heros.(Divine glave is a must too here)
Another point, many people build glowing wand for antiheal against tanky heros but in my opinion it's useless because Novaria is an utility mage and a backline one shot hero.
Mostly you will be poking them only or confirming the kills of the damaged ones.
SO it's passive will mostly be redundant for the max. time including the burning effect.

iii]Never build Sky piercer as your 1st or 2nd item.
Only build it if you are having early game advantage or when you are SNOWBALLING the game from the very beginning.
Also, it has to be your 3rd item or later not before that because you still need your core damage items.

Final tip, avoid picking her if the enemy comp has more than 2 extremely mobile heros or more than 2 extremely tanky heros.
You won't be as usefull as other DPS burst mages with strong CC and team fight impact.

But without tips it was way hard to use nivaria
