I was supposed to maiden the new Hangar 9 Valiant 20cc this week, but East Coast Virginia weather had other plans. 😩
Instead, I knocked out a couple of important pre-flight upgrades! In this video I show:

How I made a set of custom wing bags (following a great viewer suggestion).
Soldering up a Y-harness to safely power the 12V wingtip lights off my 22V LiPo flight pack using the balance connector.

These are the kind of practical touches that make owning a bigger plane much nicer. Still planning to get this beauty in the air as soon as we get a decent weather window!

Thanks for watching the Valiant 20cc series! In this episode I built custom wing bags (thanks to the great suggestion in the comments) and soldered up a Y-harness for the wingtip lights.

Your maiden brought me here. Nice job on the wing bags. I'm a little spoiled by both wings fitting into one wing bag with two sides, so I may just double it up. Great idea though. Also I may need to spoil myself further with a handle of some sort. Sometimes I hang the bag from the "coat hanger" in the van while transporting.
And thanks for showing the process of using the balance plug for the lights. Why not? Right? Looking good!

The Velcro is used on the open end to seal it

Its sad i havent been able to find 1 gas powered one. Seems like every valiant 20cc video is electric. Im about to build one and im going with a gas motor.
