I have tried so many different types of skin treatments for my rocacea, on and off for 15 years and spent thousands of dollars but now i found that the one that works best is if i don't do anything at all, and i now have almost no acne at all, like one or two sometimes at most.

I don't ever use soap in my face (or on my body, just mild soap in my groin and ass area when i shower) and i rarely wash my face with water, only when i shower, and i shower only like once a week except if i have done heavy excercise and sweated alot ofcourse, but then it's more of a rinse, and i probably won't do the facewashing then either.

I don't use soap on my body either, the skins own oil has been perfectly designed for millions and millions of years to work so why should i remove it?
I have tried using deodorant to get the perfoume but tbh it just makes it worse, and if you leave it there it dries out your armpits and becomes very itchy, again - destroying the function of your own bacteria.

If i want to freshen up i can just wash with water in my armpit and groin. But i almost never smell sweat either, even since i stopped using soap on my body i stopped smelling bad, my own body takes care of it. I still change t-shirt from time to time, and change underclothing almost daily because the clothes are often the one who smells. (i have also asked people from time to time if i smell, both people who i'm close to and others so it's not just my own observation).

When i'm in the shower i just put lukewarm water in my face and take my palms and rub everywhere in my face for 30-60 seconds and that's the only exfoliating i do, if i do deeper clenses with stronger stuff i get very red and postules come and i get acne everywhere the day after, that will take weeks to get rid of, so if i would even wait 6 days and exfoliate i would get very irritated skin and it would never completely heal.

I however wash my hands often, and try to not touch my face, because i have noticed the areas that i get acne and it's often in the areas where i touch. I made notice because i only had acne on one side, the side that i use to touch my face when i'm thinking (doing the "hmm" pose). So i wash hands before and after meals, any meal (you don't want any food residue left on your face because that's also food for bacteria) after WC ofcourse, and after i've touched alot of stuff.

So i would say before you start using alot of products, atleast try and use this method instead first, it's also easier and way cheaper, you'll even save money. But ofcourse, no dermatologist or beauty queen is going to tell you this because they want to earn money or sell you stuff, they and society just secretly call me disgusting, even if i don't smell or look unfresh, if you saw me you wouldn't even know i only shower like once a week.

It goes against everything you hear and see, and that's the point, it's crazy to pay to remove functions of the body that has been there for millions of years. And no this is not only my idea, i have gotten it reinforced more by a senior microbiologist researcher who do podcasts in Sweden called Agnes Wold. And she is often scrutinized and seen as controversial in media because she goes against this extreme hygiene society, but she can atleast back up all her claims by research. Allergies for example rarely even exists in really poor areas where they lack "hygiene".
