You were right on about Compstat. When it pertains to a detective squad or specialized unit-the bosses have no clue. They seem to hinder your investigation, not help you. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

Remember when CompStat had Pinocchio on the screen behind a Unit Commander.  As the brass suspected that the Commander was lying Pinocchio's nose would grow.  The Unit Commander could not see Pinocchio on the screen behind him but everyone else in the room could. The entire room was laughing at the Unit Commander.
Dont tell me the brass were not getting off on berating these Unit Commanders.
