In this video you can see me travel through the beautiful Churnet Valley in Staffordshire, as I make my way along the Caldon Canal on my narrowboat.

Along the way I get some help from fellow boaters, before I have a bit of a problem and have to do something I've never done before.

Hey, that's the steam engine I helped restore when it was in Llangollen in the 1990s. No 5197. Don't worry I'm not a number cruncher train spotter but it's certainly nice to spot that one. The main thing I did was wire brushing and painting. Great to see it's back in service after it went in for a boiler service after I rode behind it a few years ago. Gorgeous whistle, sends beautifull warm shivers down the spine. Right, let's carry on with your equally beautifull video.

Born in Wednesbury when it was Staffordshire 66yrs ago. I now live 500yds from Cheddleton flint mill. Been here 12yrs and I’ll never leave. Born in staffs and I’ll finish my days here loved this episode as it’s really one of the nicest places and I’m glad others get to share it through you betty. X

Thank you for another wonderful video. I love the drone footage. It gives a nice bird's eye view of how twisty-turny the canals are, along with the beauty of the landscape.
