No, there’s a better idea. You don’t need to take them as prisoners. What about you reservice them on your side think about that you know what some people would do when something goes down and they surrender or like when something goes down on a nurse side they try to reservice on their side. There are always an idea, and I think they should resurface them on their side and the thing is I’m American so I gave him the idea to do this.

Uhh. Do we take prisoners?

In my opinion I would surrender because one I’m not gonna just walk up to a space wizard with a laser sword, two literally children as adults get weapons and permission to drive tanks while us clankers can’t hit the broad side of a bantha barn, three it’s not like our programming is gonna kick in and save us

This entire video skit is just the Star Wars equivalent of The Animatrix (The Animatrix) or Detroit Become Human. Because at the end of the day, who's to say droids aren't like "f*ck it, if they're gonna scrap us when we surrender? We're just gonna annihilate them when they surrender too"
Just sayin' guys.

For those curious Battle Driod "Sentience" is the equivalent to tasking Chatgpt to do something and it constantly making quirky qips.

basically when droids tried to learn Anakin's tricks, but they eventually missed that Anakin once was a general...

The surrendering droids in episode 1 of The Bad Batch were never explained. They just put that in and didn't expect anyone to be confused.

Strange to see Battle Droids be taken prisoner in the opening for Bad Batch. They dropped their weapons without a shot being fired.

U.S. Army Infantry and Marines on Okinawa at the first mass surrender of Imperial soldiers, circa 1945.

In the final season of the Clone Wars, Master Windu told the droids that they could surrender and be reprogrammed with a new purpose.

So there is a protocol for this, even if it's improvised.

Battle Droid: "Do we take prisoners?"

Hevy: "I don't."

Okay but, Anakin has committed the same war crime of false surrendering to them first, making the idea of surrender for either sides ruined. May that damn Skywalker forever be cursed for that action.

We have seen battle droids surrender. We never saw clones notice that battle droids have surrendered, until now.

How did you do the voices?

Ever since the False Surrender of Christophsis, several of our commander have employed the "Surrender Stall" to give the Republic a taste of their own medicine, and as seen here, it tends to buy even more time due to the Clones' lack of protocol on what to do with surrendering droids. Unfortunately, some Republic commanders had either caught on or were way too happy to commit war crimes on non-organic beings, leading to several notable battles lost.

That ending was hilarious

The actual protocol would be to take them in interrogate them for information and reprogram them to fit other needs mostly it's for target practicing or on rare occasions used as spies.

BORN READY

War crimes  . blowing up  the enemy who surrenders

Well we did see that the Republic did reprogram some battledroids to assist with a mission, so I guess it's not unreasonable to assume that's what they do when they're left intact.
