its so weird watching someone walk through areas i go to frequently on youtube LOL

Welcome to TEXAS and a lot of things are bigger in Texas is true statement,
Give old Korea town a try, Carrollton is newer spot. The OG Ajumma is there, Sura is pretty legit if you love side dishes (which Korean doesn't lol), Try Royal Wok (jajangmyung and jampong) this place has been open since like the 90's and anyone who grew up in Dallas has been there. Koryo BBQ isn't bad, and lastly if you want tojust try out because this place has been open since 1979 is Korea House, not the best but one of the oldest Korean restaurant in Dallas.
If you guys like to go drink Soju101 or Dansungsa is a good spot for pocha type of food.

Maht Gaek Carrollton is pretty good too, Um Ma Son if you like kalgooksu, Wonjo Busan Gukbap is really good, and lastly Moo Bong Ri is really good, this was my wife's go to spot when she was pregnant.

feel free to reply if you like other recommendations

I moved down to Dallas from Chicago.  I feel, with most things, including great food, Dallas is much better than Chicago.  Love it here in North Texas.  Thanks for sharing.

Next time you’ll have to check out old Korea town by northeast Dallas by Royal Ln.

Some tasty spots you visited! If you ever come back, if I may suggest these spots as well...

Koryo Korean BBQ in Dallas - A kind of old school Los Angeles Koreatown vibe restaurant that uses charcoal to cook and they also have someone who does the cooking for you. Very good quality meats and occasionally they even have live eel which is awesome. This place and Burninn 92 are the only two Korean BBQ restaurants that use charcoal in DFW.

OneDon in Dallas - They make an ultra-crispy and large sized dongaseu.

Hong Dumpling House in Dallas - They make a variety of mandu if you're in the mood for this.

Damasita in Dallas - A no frills and affordable casual Korean spot. Simple food at a very reasonable price.

Cho Dang Village in Plano or Carrollton - They have two locations and feel they are best sundubu-jjigae in DFW mainly because their tofu is really silken along with good flavor.

Texan Wangbal in Carrollton - One of, if not the top place for jokbal imo. Their bossam is solid but the strength is their jokbal but you can order a combo platter.

Ssam King in Plano (formerly known as Korean Tofu King) - Two dishes we've found are our favorites along with their style of banchan focuses more on fresher flavors rather than having everything super fermented. Their galbi-jjam has been solid, not the best compared to some spots in Los Angelas and the Bay Area but still very good. They also make another dish called beef head meat with chives (unsure what it's called in Korean), however the last time I went we didn't see it on the menu. It's tender pieces of beef in a light beef broth with the chives, quite refreshing and won't make you feel heavy eating it.

MeatBanchan in Carrollton - This is a small shop that makes a huge variety of banchans not normally given out in restaurants as well as making fresh bentos and kimbap.

Wonjo Busan Gukbap in Carrollton - This is a newer restaurant in DFW that is a sister restaurant from Los Angeles establishments Jinsol Gukbap and Hangari Kalguksu. Mainly known for their gukbap but their soondae and sliced pork belly in broth are also good.

No. 1 Plus Chicken in Carrollton - Forget chains for Korean fried chicken, try this spot! It's family owned using quality chicken.

Gopchang Story in Carrollton - It's KBBQ however they do server gopchong if you enjoy that, I don't know of many places that have this option. Not charcoal but even their other meat quality is solid.

Charm Juk Korean Porridge in Carrollton - I'm putting this here more to show the variety. They do make very good juk if you like porridge. Many people only think of this food when they are sick, but they offer various toppings which helps to develop more flavor in the porridge.

I grew up in DFW and always drive out to Carrollton for my korean food craving/hmart fix but since its not often I get overwhelmed with so many options. And not knowing where to go and what to expect, this video is GOD SENT. THANK YOU.

Texas has awsome Asian food

Omg I live in dfw and been to all the places except the place with the salt bread!!😮 I gotta go there 😊😊

We have korean eatery in angola, i like to order boljogi. 😋

This is so cool! As soon as you showed the first place, I knew you were in Carrollton! (The old dmv used to be around the corner). I love going to H Mart.

If you ever come back, I highly recommend Koryo for KBBQ in Dallas. They use coals which give the meat that nice smoky flavor on top of having top notch quality meats. They also cook for you and have one of the best bowls of spicy galbijim.

I really appreciate you making this guide! I have been trying to locate Korean establishments around the Dallas area and this helps tremendously. 감사합니다

Next time you come, please try korean food outside of Carrollton. They are the real gems. Alot of the Carrollton spots are really for westernized taste and photo opps. Frisco, Dallas, Plano, Garland... etc have great korean options as well. Glad you had fun here and hope you visit again!

❤❤❤

in the same area there is a place called Chodang Village and Kurobuta which are on par with korean foods in LA.  and in an area called  Royal Lane there are decent korean restaurants too!  please visit them next time!

You missed BCD Tofu.  It's awesome.  In the 99 Ranch shopping center across the highway from H Mart.

If you're ever in Dallas again then you need to try Moriya Shokudo! It's in the city next to dallas in Richardson, but it's the best ramen I've ever had. Japanese curry too

What brought you to town?

Just say apple.
