Mold lines are a good way to hide texture seams when making the assets

the idea that they did indeed put a suppressor on the Meteba but it doesn't change the sound of it firing specifically because of the cylinder gap would be really funny. A real "well yeah, what did you expect?" type joke.

I really like how Jonathan Ferguson, the keeper of firearms and artillery at the Royal Armouries museum in the UK, which houses a collection of thousands of Iconic weapons from throughout history, is quietly speaking as if he's in a library. It really makes him seem like he just snuck off from class and is trying not to get noticed or something.

That funky MP5 kit at 2:30 is the Swordfish kit, which is an airsoft exclusive, as far as I'm aware. It's been modded into a bunch of games like Left4Dead2, but never seen it as a vanilla option, lol

So consistent. Such a reliable net positive for Youtube. Good job.

Also please cover Red Faction and other older FPS games when they didn't care about realism as much

played the video on 0.25 speed and the Mateba is definitely recoiling back

Most of the guns in toxic commando were reused from WWZ a next game the devs worked on

Cruelty squad has a lot of very interesting guns based on real prototypes that would be fun to see a reaction to

I think Dave forgot to mention that pretty much every gun model is reused from World War Z

The actual audible distress Jonathan was in with that MP5

Jonathan sounds a wee bit hoarse in this video. Hope he has lozenges on hand. Also I would quite like to play this game.

10:11 "How many times have you ever seen that before?"
It's in MGSV:TPP, from a decade ago, but you'd never notice, because once you're like, 5% of the way into the game, you just throw a suppressor on absolutely every weapon where you'd actually be able to tell the difference with the different muzzle devices available, so you'll never see the flash anyway.

Royal amories was really busy that day, I can hear not just others talking behind him, but also chambers being worked at times.

Maybe an HK slap competition in the other room?

@fe7general837 6 months ago

Black ops 2 had an iteration of the HAMR in it which made the SCAR that made the gun into an LMG

Regarding the Mateba recoiling bit at 4:28 - I actually discovered with a friend that, in third person, it does actually recoil correctly! Difficult to see it in first person, but if you go to the main hub and watch a friend fire it, the whole upper assembly moves backwards on each trigger pull.

You absolutely need to show this guy SULFUR's guns. They're so wonderfully cursed.

19:10 you're allowed to have fun at work and still retain some credibility if you've written AT LEAST three books.

28:00 Lifting the feed tray is to check the chamber is clear. Open bolt, belt fed machine guns can get either live or fired rounds stuck in the chamber (which can be dangerous with the feed cover open). If a round is present, the drill is to quickly close the feed cover, aim and fire the action. Round either goes bang or not. You then check and clear before loading again.

The animators have misunderstood that upon cocking the action, the bolt stays to the rear, allowing you to clear the chamber.

An Easter egg on these weapons is the long scope with "Leopold and Stotch" on the side

That's a South Park reference and a nod to Butters (his actual name )
