I love how Coraline hates when people call her “Caroline”, the incorrect name that perfectly describes this knockoff movie

the song is actually the other father trying to warn coraline

This film wasn't intended to be a ripoff of Coraline, but the film's English distributors marketed it that way. It was originally a Spanish made-for-TV movie called "Witchcraft". The main character was named Malva, which isn't even close to "Caroline". When the movie was dubbed into English for UK/American releases, they had so little confidence in the film that they made the poster and character names similar to Coraline, hoping people would buy copies of it by accident. The exact same thing has been done to a bunch of other animated foreign films such as Tabaluga, The Legend of Sarila, and Super K.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention Other Wybie's murder

Chat is it just me or does it sound more like a knock off of Hoodwinked than Coraline?

Edwina Needle-fingers, Sister of Edward Scissor-hands.

I used to watch Caroline and the magic potion, because my parents didn’t wanna rent the real Coraline

i can tell this is just gonna be a hit video without even watching it

(notice how i was literally right)

3:38 oh they would definitely sue you into a pit for this since “they might be giants” wrote it

When I was a little kid, my dad let me watch Coraline at his house. My mom was pissed because it was obviously way too scary for me, but I was like 'um why are you freaking out it wasnt that scary' 😹

I really enjoy the segment where the flyers club member says ‘hey mister bully’ and it cuts to him being strangled seconds afterward

Honestly tho, Coraline has the survival instincts of a slice of bread.
Also… 7:41 I JUST REMEMBERED.. mother spiders will often eat their children…

i LOVE how nothing is on accident and everything has a meaning

12:00 Summary of Caroline ends, topic begins

Fun Fact: The other father is voiced by John Linnell of They Might Be Giants during the Other Father's Song

Coraline if They Might Be Giants hadn't made music for the movie
Edit: 3:50 This proves my point, that's TMBG for ya!

5:29 They missed this but theres a theory that the reason they dont say her name correctly is because theyre avoiding speaking directly to her, which by not speaking to her directly the spirits get confused and cannot listen (i may be remembering this incorrectly so look it up yourself or correct me 👍)

12:08 Seeing the same woman who voiced Jill Valentine in Resident Evil pop up in the credits of this was jarring to say the least

16:23 im not sure how to feel about this part considering how old he looks😭

4:01 Coraline wanted a Mango Milkshake, but she is allergic to Poison Oak, so she shouldn't be able to drink that
