1. When I first saw this video, I was really disappointed in Adam. At the time I just started listening to TDG and it made me irritated that he was so... rude(?). Rewatching this (after I learned about his addiction and his struggles), I realized he was so high but trying his best to give a great performance (which he certainly did). Now, looking back, he was just a great guy addicted to an awful drug.

2. It also occurred to me that “By the time you come home, I’m already stoned” could be a plea for help. I always thought it was either a rhyming line they thought of, or maybe he had a little bit too much to drink. Now it’s obvious he knew he wasn’t okay and he’s trying to tell people about his addiction (which was a secret at the time).
