In the hotel California solo, a good 40 percent of the notes are hammer ones and the rest are all bends. Awesome to learn if you want to play fast.

I literally had ZERO idea how to play guitar until i found your videos a few months ago. Since then, you're the only reason i can play (or try to, at least) guitar. BUT i have a request which im asking because i haven't really found a helpful tutorial or even tabs of that song. Its "fantastic" by king princess from the Arcane soundtrack. I (and im sure all fans of arcane) would love to have an electric guitar tutorial on that. Especially the last solo part. I hope you can help me with that unc!!! We love you

Excellent tips. The thing that made it click for me was just keeping my left hand more relaxed than I'm used to. I worked on applying minimal pressure to get the notes out. And of course, lower action became necessary so there's less string tension. A heavier pick does help. And I have to wonder if it's only because it's stiffer, or if it could be because the edge is rounder. But those two things do kinds go together. So never mind.
