As a drummer that guy is the real deal.

Thanks Jimmy for all the great music. its still a joy to listen. One of my top fav bands.

Jimmy Fox..... such a great drummer, and with Joe Walsh and Dale Peters, they had one of the greatest Rock trios ever!

The fact that Jimmy, Dale Peters, and Joe Walsh are still with us- and could all comment on Tom Kriss, Glenn, Donnie, Tommy Bolin, etc- an oral history of The James Gang with all the past articles and interviews seems like it needs to happen one of these days. Folks like you are helping get this history down! Thank you!

That trio was hot.

Jimmy Fox is another drummer that's so underrated. In my opinion he has a jazz feel to his playing. I listened to Funk 49 etc. often!

I saw The James Gang in 1971 when they played my college (MTSU). I met them after the show and they signed my copy of the Rides Again album. I was an 18 year old kid playing drums in a garage band. I told Jim Fox I was trying to learn the drum part to the live version of "Walk Away." He gave me a pair of his drum sticks and smiled and said "Keep practicing." I have them to this day. I really hope to run into him again someday and tell him that story (and show him those sticks).

Who doesn't love Joe Walsh?😮

Jim and Dale, best rhythm section ever!

65 years old and I still LOVE the James gang and still listening to their music ❤❤❤

this dude drumming in the the james gang walk away made me want to drum my dad play walk away of a tape in the late 80s and the drumming had me so fascinated and want to drum just like him , i don’t know why but that drumming has stuck with me till this day , i’ve never done anything professional but my love of drumming took off because of him

GREAT drummer.

What a likable guy! Joe Walsh joined the James Gang 58 years ago and I am feeling old.
Recently watched some JG live videos and realized what a great drummer he is. Never overplayed.

One of the coolest stories ever told!

i loved the James Gang, i turned 13 in 1970 and the live album is still my favorite album of all time

The James Gang with Joe Walsh is still one of my all time favorite bands. Funk #48 will always be a classic. The Bomber will always be a classic.  These tunes especially showcase the talents of all 3 players.

James Gang was the first concert I went to.
They opened for Lee Michaels and followed BB King.
I can still hear Joe that night. One of the best.

Joe Walsh just elevates every band he joins. stoned or not. he is one of the greats. James Gang was great live.

Jimmy stopped by our farm in the early 70’s. Maybe 74. I was probably 3 or 4 at the time and was not allowed to leave the house. Jimmy was buying some old porcelain advertising signs my dad was selling. My mom went out to help him with the signs. She said he was the nicest guy and even showed her around his tour bus with the gold records. We still have his letters and the autographed picture of the band he gave us.

I play the hell out of my copy of James Gang at Carnige Hall. Jim Fox is a monster on this album.
