KFC in China does not normally open 24/7, and its menu will switch to another more limited one after midnight, which contains less options for burgers, different kinds of snacks etc. And since its late and has fewer workers in the store, some of the popular items may be sold out soon. Even if they're not sold out, they're prolly leftovers of daytime business, so it wont taste as juicy as usual. As for the "bonus menu" you had in the video, its items change from time to time. its like a experimental menu for KFC to try out new things that are highly localized. So if you really want to try authentic KFC, just go to any KFC during daytime, or before 10pm. I dont know who told you KFC in Shanghai is bad lol, but i've never heard of it before. I've tried KFC in different cities in China and they're basically all the same. I mean its weird if you compare midnight snack menu with normal daytime menu in other countries.
