Mildenhall Gold brings together military aircraft footage and photo highlights from RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk. From the distinctive Osprey and a special-operations Chinook to Stratotankers, fighters and Hercules transports, this collection celebrates the variety that makes Mildenhall such a rewarding place for aircraft spotting.

The aircraft represented include:
V-22 Osprey tiltrotor.
KC-135 Stratotanker.
F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon.
MC-130J Commando II and C-130J Hercules-family transports.
An MH-47-type special-operations Chinook.
RC-135U Combat Sent, including a close photographic view of shark-mouthed aircraft 64-14847.

RAF Mildenhall is home to the 100th Air Refueling Wing and its KC-135 Stratotankers. The base also hosts the 352nd Special Operations Wing, which operates the MC-130J Commando II and CV-22B Osprey. The footage features both familiar Mildenhall aircraft and visiting types; it is a collection of recorded moments rather than a current airfield inventory.

A particular highlight in the photographs is the RC-135U Combat Sent. This specialised reconnaissance aircraft gathers information about radar signals. It belongs to the wider RC-135 family but is a different variant from the Rivet Joint. The Chinook's long refuelling probe and special-operations equipment also distinguish it from a standard transport Chinook.
